Just a quick post to say I'm super excited! I ran the Colfax Marathon in Denver this morning and had a killer PR! My previous PR was 5:00:24. Which was very frustrating because in training I would consistently run 10:00-10:30/mi, but I've never had a race day where things didn't go wrong (injuries, heat exhaustion).
Today, through the first half, I was holding 9:18/mi. I slowed down a bit due to some uphills, and at the 18 mile mark, my average pace was 9:24/mi. I was THRILLED. I had some foot problems (the same tendonitis that plagued me at my last full in 2012, but at least this time I knew what it was), so I had to hobble my way in to the finish, but my final time was 4:34:10 (10:27/mi) - a 26 minute PR!
Currently staying off my foot and laying in bed, so I'll have a race report later today. It was a great race!
Also, if any of you were interested in that Bia watch - after a year of waiting (it was a Kickstarter thing), I got mine two days ago and am absolutely in love with it. It's FANTASTIC (www.bia-sport.com)

Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
