Am I the only one still watching this show?
Well, at least Alcide's shirt came off in the first 30 seconds or so.
Christopher Meloni, we hardly knew ye. But, obviously, there wasn't enough scenery for both him and Russell Edgington to chew, and if I had to pick I have to go with Russell Edgington.
So, did Napoleon Dynamite chick sabotage the iStake?
And, what's the deal with Sookie? She's glamour-proof, right? I thought I remembered something about that earlier this season. So Bill's glamouring of her was just for show, right? I had to giggle about Eric trying to c*ck-block Alcide via glamour. Sookie totally un-glamoured him, right, so along with remembering the events of the night that would include counteracting his physical repulsion to her?
I like Christopher Meloni but I was not enjoying his character like I should have. I love Russell!!! "Lilith?! Why don't you worship leprechauns, unicorns, or the m-f'ing Kardashians?!" LMAO Best line of the night!
Yes, Bill's "glamouring" was just for show. That's why she was crying in the van on the way home. It really was touching but I've always liked Bill. And I thought the cockblocking was hilarious. I think the unglamouring removed Alcide's repulsion. It better have!
If anyone has read the books (spoiler here), I wonder if the wolf pack-master fight is going to bring in Quinn's character. Off to google...
And yeah I keep telling DH that the chick from Napoleon Dynamite is the one who sabotaged the stake. He still thinks it's Salome but I think that's too obvious.
I think I agree with you - at least about Salome. They are making it too obvious. That girl would be a bit of a surprise.
BUT I think Salome may still be Sanquinista. I actually think most if not all of them are.
For the face Roman didn't explode got me thinking - that blood he drank? He said "interesting" after he drank it, and then no one else had any. I feel like there is going to be more to that and I wonder if he's really dead.
The smoke monster story NEEDS TO END. END END END. I think it's an inside joke about lost as Arlene's real like DH was on Lost. But still. END.

That Paula Deen/Sharon Osbourne lady seemed genuinely happy to hear Russell was going to be executed. I wonder if she's on the up and up.

Didn't Vampire Beel drink some? I'll have to re-watch tonight.
ziti- I agree. I think that woman is on the up and up. And perfect description of her. The guys - i'm not sure. I know the one went in and arrested Russell, but that doesn't mean anything. I fully believe Salome is "bad" even if she wasn't the one who broke Russell free.
W/ th eblood, it was more his reaction of "interesting" that caught my eye. I just feel like there is going to be something to that. I don't think Roman is going to be gone quite this easily.

I feel dense this season. First off, I feel dense that Lilith is a controversial, religious, mystery person/spirit that I have never heard of. Then , I am confused how everyone feels about her and her role. The authority, Eric, Eric's sister?
I am also pissed that everyone is all "oh Russell is so powerful, be careful! He must not underestimated!" blah, blah, blah and then he totally shocks everyone! So f'ing obvious he isn't going anywhere!
Ha! I knew "Arlene's" real life h was "Ben" from lost, but I didn't make the smoke monster connection;)

I read an article that Alan Ball is planning on bringing Were-tigers in at the end of the season but doesn't plan on them being a staple. So that made me hopeful that we will meet Quinn.
For the pp that mentioned Roman possibly surviving... I'm pretty sure he doesn't. In the interactive part of HBOGo, both Alan Ball and the guy who plays Russell said what a shocker people will feel that Chris Meloni was only in it for 6 episodes.
I am also having trouble understanding the Sanguinista (sp)/Authority storyline. Part of me didn't pay enough attention during the first couple episodes so maybe I'll rewatch. But up until this season, The Authority never seemed "pro-human". It's just that they were trying to protect their image and seem less deadly/threatening. Remember in season 1 with the magistrate? (I loved his character and the actor!) I never felt like that was the same Authority as season 5 Authority.
"More romance! It's not all about sex! Ball teased that there will be three new romances this season. "There's also a lot of other people having sex, but those don't count as romances," Ball added."

Basically, I think The Authority's main goal was mainstreaming vampires to coexist with humans and gain acceptance with humans. Nan from previous seasons was always doing "damage control" to hide any instances of vampires harming humans.
Turmoil has been growing in the Authority with group they call sanguinistas, who don't believe in coexisting with humans, and feel that humans are there for sustenance and think that vampires should be free to devour humans. However, this has been more of an underground movement within the authority which is why Roman has been trying to weed out who is Sanguinista and who isn't.
I agree it is a confusing stortyline though. I think more people on the council, if not everyone on the council, with the exception of Roman, are really Sanguinista. I also, personally think that Salome is the covert leader of the Sanguinista movement.
Russell had some great lines and he's always good to watch. I'm glad he is back.

Who do you think that could be?
I think Alcide is going to hook up with the chick from the new pack, the one that gave him the 2nd.
I also see maybe Russell and Salome. I know Russell was with Talbot, but maybe just a power move to be with Salome if she is indeed the leader of the Sanguinistas.
I'm not sure who else. I don't think Holly and Andy really count as "new" as would Jason and Jessica.

So how does Lilith fit in? I get that she was "first vampires" and is mentioned in the vampire bible ( that was their words right?). How is she being interpreted by the Authority, the Sanguinistas, Eric, bill , etc?
Also, whoever mentioned Newlin, maybe he is Russell's new guy. They sure made a point to display him as liking the menfolk and he is defined power hungry! I think Tara is going to get it on at some point and Sookie and alcids since they are overdue.

I agree, which is kind of irritating. Maybe just because Alcide is so dreamy, but...for once, Sookie and Alcide are both single, totally into each other, etc. He risked his life for her backing her up with Russell Edgington, she risked her freedom to tell him the truth about Debbie, etc. If they don't hook up now, it's kind of stupid.
I didn't care so much that they didn't hook up in the books, because that Alcide was such a damn wuss. But this one is...yummy. C'mon, Sookie, what more could you ask for!?

This is what I was thinking, the black guy definitely is--coexisting with humans does not work with him killing the bus of witnesses instead of glamouring them.
