We had a pretty busy weekend..,did errands on Saturday and went for a forest walk and picnic yesterday. The weather has been awesome!
ETA: I don't consider it "collecting" but most of the art and decorative furnishings in our house are from trips we've been on together, whether framed photos, carpets, our fruit bowl, etc. I love filling our house with objects that remind me of good times we've spent together, instead of buying the same old stuff anyone can get from a big box store.

Hi! :-)
Weekend was nice! I got a hair cut, and relaxed most of the weekend. A friend is visiting from the US, so he got in late on Saturday and we've been taking him out in the evenings, so that's been fun!
Today, I'm at work and then tonight, we're taking our friend to the Gordon Ramsey restaurant at St. Regis for burger night :-)
QOTD: We collect magnets for our fridge, and more recently, we've been trying to make an effort to buy a piece of artwork from each city we visit. We just bought a painting from Vienna, and we bought some artwork before then in Kobleanz on our Christmas cruise. Hoping to keep up that tradition!
We got back from Portugal yesterday. Spent the night in London before coming home. Gorgeous weather there yesterday.
Big thumbs up for Club Med in Albufeira for anyone with kids under four looking for a relaxing break. Beautiful resort and the petit club and baby club were very good. Had both kids in for a few days and they had a good time and we had a GREAT time playing pitch and putt and relaxing by the pool/
QOTD: I pretty much buy nothing. I don't like nick nacks and we're trying not to accumulate stuff while we're living over here. A few good photos and some great memories is enough for me right now.

Good morning! The weekend was a lazy one around here. I didn't really have much to do so I baked a cake -- an apple cake. It was very good -- in fact, there is a piece on the table that I am thinking of having as a late-night snack. Today brought tap class and that brought new steps to learn in the dance and the teacher thought we were advanced enough to speed up our warm up music. It was INTENSE! And the music was loud to be heard over the heavy rain, so my ears are ringing a bit.
QOTD: It's unusual, but I try to get handmade soaps from the places I go. I like using the soap in my baths and showers and remembering when & where I got them. I have aloe soap from Aruba, blueberry soap from St. John's, Newfoundland, Lemon Myrtle soap from Adelaide, among others.
Happy Monday to you ladies! Did you do anything fun this weekend? Anything going on today?
QOTD: Do you try to collect anything from places when you travel? (Magnets, postcards, etc?)
Just really enjoyed the warm sunny weather with lots of walking outside, grilling and playing with the dog. It was fab. Today went into my internship...and not a single client showed up. Sigh.
QOTD: I tend to buy clothing items or things like rugs/candle holders.
Going to the opera tonight and sitting in the cheap seats. We'll see how it goes, because the price difference is crazy! The cheapest regular seats (back of the third balcony) are $95, and we're in the next cheaper option at $15!
QOTD: XH and I used to collect magnets, but I left them behind when I moved out. Now I send a postcard to myself. If I'm traveling with friends, I usually ask them to write me a message and drop it in the mail, so I only get to read it when it arrives. If it's just me and SO, I've started filling the postcard with a collage of small drawings and keywords about the trip (in both English and the local language).
