Ok. I don't want the escape to be rushed. Ep 8- mountain vs. viper. Ep 9 almost entirely at the Wall. Are we going to get "wherever whores go" this season? It feels like time is running outttttt. Not to mention- Lady Stoneheart would be a GREAT cliffhanger, epilogue thing. OMG
I need to consult on this show. They CLEARLY need me
Do we think Tyrion is going to kill Shae, or are they going to tell Tyrion that they forced Shae to testify against him, she really loved him, etc., and then send her away? I did some research and it does appear that Tyrion told the story about Tysha in either S1 or S2, but she hasn't been brought up again since (and I expected there to be a reference when Tyrion mentioned falling in love with a whore in his convo with Jaime). I'm really concerned that Tyrion will just kill Tywin when he finds out and then set off in search of Shae. Sigh.

After last night I am going to be even more sad when Oberyn dies. The things that Pedro P. has done with that character. Omg.

I'm convinced about that too, that Shae will be the whore in Braavos that Arya, Sam, etc. encounter in AFFC. I think she was known as the Sailors Wife?

NOOOOOOO I don't WANT that!
I think he will still kill her. If she is literally in BED with his FATHER, I can't see how he wouldn't. Even if she isn't banging her. Maybe they'll pin some machinations on Cersei. Maybe. Hands of gold...

I'm not convinced they'll include the "Shae was sleeping with Tywin" plotline. It seems out of character for ShowShae (who is worlds apart from BookShae, who genuinely didn't GAF and would have done that).

I don't think she would bang him, I don't think Tywin does that. Maybe metaphorically in bed.
People have been saying it would be character assassination to have Tyrion kill Shae.
No
And Lancel was name-checked last week. Come on!
But Tyrion is supposed to have his "downfall" (or at least downward spiral) after that! That's the whole point! COME ON PEOPLE.
It's, in its way, parallel to Arya's downward spiral into being a killing machine. Which people don't seem to have a problem with. If it's done right, it could be amazing. That's what the show, and the books, for that matter, are known for- making you love fiercely flawed characters.
I am SO anxious for the murders/escape to happen. I'm guessing that since the fight will be the next episode, the escape might happen in the following episode? Idk.
But I have to be honest - I am kind of even more anxious for Lady Stoneheart. That BLEW my mind when I read the books. I yelled and my hands were shaking. H thought I was hurt. LOL. I really, REALLY want that to be a part of this season, and was convinced that it would be at the beginning of the season, but now I'm not so sure. I feel like it would be a GREAT way to kick off the next season, but damn. I really want her to be here NOOOWWWWWW.
I have been waiting for Lady Stoneheart to appear in the series since I read the ASOS epilogue. Lol.
This is weird -- I was doing some IMDBing and the actress who plays Lysa Tully is listed in the "The Children" (season finale) cast.

Just so you know, I am completely agreeing with you here. Didn't want there to be any misunderstanding.

And then looking forward to next season-
which plot lines do you think they'll include? I want Dorne and Myrcella, and I want the original actress, if only bc WE WERE TOTALLY CHATTIN VIA TWITTER ON SATURDAY. They've already name-checked her and the sand snakes. Maybe Ellaria will take the place of Taena Merryweather- holy hotness
Iron Islands- so far, blahhhh I don't care. But Gemma Whalen (aka another twitter bff of mine) is KILLING it, so maybe she will make me care? And some of the casting rumors for the Greyjoys could CERTAINLY help in this matter.
Who will play Griff/JonCon? Ohhhh my god, I can't wait!

Doesn't Tyrion find Shae in Tywin's bed and he kills them both? I want that to happen in the show.
Yeah, in the book, he goes into Tywin's chambers, finds Shae in Tywin's bed and strangles her. Then (I think I'm getting the order right?) he goes into the bathroom and finds Tywin on the toilet and shoots him in the bowels with a crossbow.

I need to re-read books 4 and 5. I'm really fuzzy on a lot of the details, but I DO remember loving the Dorne plot. I really hope we get a full cast of Dornish and get to see the water gardens early on.

I believe that's Tysha. The one Tyrion married when he was young.

YES! Arya's spiral into a killing machine has been amazing. When you follow a character for as long and we have and you grow to love them and then see all the pain and hurt that they have to go through you 100% understand when they basically have enough and start killing everyone who has done them wrong. Tyrion has been the butt of the Lannister's jokes since he was born. He has never had it easy. Now he's on trial for something he did not do, and its his sister that put him there. I think he has every right to start killing whoever he wants when he wants.
Arya thinks she's the only start left. She saw her father beheaded, her brother's body paraded around town with his direwolf's head on a spear. She's completely alone with the Hound. When she stabbed that guy last night H said I had a creepy smile on my face. EFF YEAH, ARYA'S A BAD ASS!! She deserves to be a bass ass.
And it's been SO brutal. I mean, for people to laugh about your appearance and stature is one thing. But Shae insulted his sexuality. That is SO cutting. like, haha, he can't put a cloak on Sansa's shoulders, that prickish. But haha, he asked a whore to lick him there and imagine him fucking her, haha. SO much more demeaning. I hate Shae for doing that, and I wouldn't blame him for any reaction he has to that. His father makes fun of his sexuality, too, making him fuck Tysha one last time. Ohhhh. Horrible
I'm curious about how they'll approach the Arya/Kindly Man storyline when she's in Braavos. I found that really interesting when I was reading the books. Do you think that will get started next season?
"No one has ever tried to eat my worm before." lol.
Yeah, Arya in Braavos has to be next season, I think at least partially
Why are you all so excited for Lady Stoneheart? I can only remember two scenes with her in the book. Maybe there's three. She's not much of a character so far.

She's terrifying! As is the concept of resurrection, let's be real

This, plus it's awesome that the Freys (some of them, at least) "get theirs" in such a badass way. We don't get too much of that in the series. Hah.
