I'll be 24 weeks tomorrow, which seems BANANAS. DH felt a couple of baby kicks this weekend, which was nice. We were catching up on the "pregnancy by the day" book that my mom got, and baby was kickin the crap out of me. So that was fun. He hasn't kicked that hard since, so he was showing off for his poppa.
I leave on Fri for a whirlwind weekend that includes a baby shower that my dear mother has been obsessing over since the day I found out I was pregnant. LOL. I'm so excited to see family and see all of her hard work come together. I hope for her sake everything goes smoothly, because she might actually pop a gasket otherwise. LOL
No appts or anything exciting this week. I go in for my first OB appt next Tues. It'll be nice to just be a normal pregnant person.
We have a crib now. My parents have been storing a crib that my aunt and uncle passed down to us after their girls outgrew it a few years ago, and since my parents are moving, they sent it home with us the other night. We also have their glider and other random baby stuff. It's surreal having half of our nursery furniture already. We probably won't put the crib together for a while, but having it in the nursery-to-be is making this feel very real!
Enjoy your shower FastHands! I hope everything goes perfectly!

8 weeks 1 day of pure misery. I have lost 5 lbs because I can't eat anything without dry heaving and/or trying to vomit. I am nauseous all the freaking time. I have zofran and it's not working. DH ordered me seabands and tummydrops. He thinks it might help.
12W5D. Had my NT scan today and all went well! I won't get blood results till next week but it looked great. Baby B was kicking away and moving around. Baby A however is a lazy pile and wouldn't move at all so they had to keep pushing on my stomach. I think A is a girl who sleeps like me I also said goodbye to the RE. I teared up. I'm just so thankful for the experience even though it was hard.
I also announced on facebook. I keep crying at my desk from all the comments and messages. I didn't think it would feel so good to do this.
40 weeks today! Baby has moved from it's not so great position last week to a better one this week and also my BP is more normal this week so it's back to just waiting. My midwife said she's thinks baby will be here by this weekend and I hope she's right!
FastHands - hope your shower goes well azurely - our crib isn't put together yet orangeglow - I lost 15lbs in 1st tri but for most people it gets better. Hope you feel better soon. linz - Glad it went well!

All good news! Hope things go quickly/easily for you!

But yay I'm pregnant!!
I'm sorry you're so sick that sounds miserable. I hope it eases up soon for you!
25 weeks. Officially nesting. I have urges to organize ALL.THE.THINGS. Work, however, is keeping me from doing so ::looks down at clock and sees I should have left a half hour ago:: b/c after errands, I get home and only want to veg.
My parents are coming down Saturday for my dad to help DH put up shelves in our laundry room and my mom to help me change out the shower curtains/rugs/decor and deep clean in our guest bath. I also want to go to our favorite riverside bar (drinks for DH, I'll be the DD) that just reopened for the season for lunch on Sunday
I'll be 20 weeks on Friday, which is completely unbelievable! I had my anatomy scan on Monday and it went well, but baby was moving too much, so they didn't get all the heart and spine measurements. Which means I go back for another scan in 2 weeks. My mom and MIL are coming to town on Saturday and we are going to go shopping for baby stuff. And we leave for Vegas on Monday!

Are you over that nasty cold, I hope?
NO! It is so annoying. I spent all day coughing and blowing my nose. I hope it clears up before my trip!
orangeglow It's crazy how close our due dates are and I'm right there with you. I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow and I'm nauseous all the freaking time. I've lost over 5 lbs. I feel like I live off of water, crackers, and tums. When I saw my RE I hadn't hit the wall of total nausea yet so I don't have any zofran I also don't see my regular OB until June 3rd. I'm debating on calling my REs office and asking for a script. We can be miserable together
PLEASE let me know if those wrist bands work!
Also, it's ridiculous how much I tear up seeing all of the wonderful updates from you ladies (stupid hormones). I'm so happy for everyone!
10w5d today! We had another great appointment on Tues and are officially past our 1st m/c milestone. Baby was sleeping for most of the appointment (this scared both DH and I until she turned the hb monitor on) but at the very end decided to do a happy dance for us! I'm so happy and relieved...only 1 more 1st tri appointment to go!

I would call. I'm sure they wouldn't have an issue writing a script over the phone since they know you won't have an appointment soon.
I have to call my RE today because she said to stay on metformin till the NT scan. I completely forgot to ask yesterday if I can stop it. I'm so ready to be done with these 3 damn pills a day.
Sorry to hear about the terrible nausea, orangeglow and MrsAggie. I hope you both find relief soon.
31wks. My uterus has expanded to just below the ribcage and I've started to have chest pains when I lie down. Hopefully this will pass in a couple of weeks.
DH should finish painting the nursery this week. I'm really excited to finally begin putting things in it.
We did a group tour of the maternity ward and walked past a birthing room moments after a baby was born. The cries of the newborn came through the door loud and clear. I instantly teared up at the sound. Hormones.
The nurse who led the hospital tour said she's had 3 unmedicated births and she'd choose that again over a root canal. I didn't mind my root canal and a myriad of other dental surgeries, including an implant and gum and bone graft. So I'm hoping that it translates into a relatively easy child birth. lol. One can hope.
9+ weeks. Had some lab work done today that I'm waiting on results for, particularly the TSH (apparently I have subclinical Hashimoto's thyroiditis) and the progesterone.
I go back in next week for another OB visit and US and to find out if I'm going to be sticking with my current OB or switching. She was planning to retire from the OB part of her practice on Dec 1st and my due date is Dec 28th. She's actually considering postponing her retirement for a few weeks so she can deliver my babies. So sweet.
We go on vacation next Friday with my in laws. We want to wait until our NT scan and materniT21 test (scheduled for the day after we get back from vacation) to tell our families that it's twins but I'm sure that in a week of hanging out, one of us will let it slip.
