Last night I had severe spasms/cramping of the second and third toes on the foot I broke 7 months ago. I've had these in the past but this is the first time since the injury and that's what it felt like when it actually happened. I am, of course, freaking the f out. DH thinks I'm overreacting. I've never broken a bone before so I don't know if this is normal or if I've hurt it again. There's no bruising or swelling and I can bear weight, but the toe joints are sore today and the break point is uncomfortable when I press it. Go back to dr? Lay off running? Drink a bottle o tequila and cry?
I have no idea, but sorry to hear this. My non-scientific opinion is:
I'd say rest it (no weight bearing activity) for a few days and see. Don't take a bunch of pain relievers if you can help it. That way you'll have a better indication of pain/soreness and pushing it too much. I'd say go to doctor early next week if it's still in pain. If that doesn't work, belly up with a bottle 'o tequila .

Whew ok, thanks guys. Now that I'm done breathing into a paper bag, a couple of rest days it is, and ice. I hoped it is just the recovery process, and I don't really want to run to the Ortho for every little thing.
