Still battling with the school over my kid's IEP. They want to dismiss him from PT services. I am not on board with that.
Yesterday's meeting did not go well. The PT presented reports from an eval and say he no longer qualifies based on those results. The kid has a medical diagnosis that supports keeping PT as a service, but the team doesn't want to take it into consideration.
What should my next step be? An IEE? Is that going to be a repeat of the eval they already did, or is the independent person actually going to take the medical stuff into consideration?
What do I need to know about mediation or administrative review?
I'd like to leave a due process hearing as a last resort but am not opposed to it. I'm just tired. They keep telling me I'm a member of the team, yet everything seems to be predetermined before the meeting and nothing I say is being considered.
