I loved them when I first tried them but had a battle with the toe box throughout. I brought them into my marathon training (stupid I know) a little more than half way through. I ran my two longest long runs in them and felt like I had to run the marathon in them.
They felt very heavy and cumbersome. I really didn't love them.

I was a Brooks lover for years, but after they started giving me issues, I gave Hokas a try. I was definitely hesitant, but I absolutely love them. The sizing can be a little off depending on the shoe, so definitely find a local shop to try them on.
I've demo'ed them a few times. I can't get on board with them...they just don't feel right. They have upgraded the fit since I last demo'ed them so the toe box issue I was having may no longer be a problem.
Give them a try in the store/on a treadmill. Some people swear by them, so there has to be something to them!
I tried them in store and couldn't do it. I'm a big fan of light / thin shoes that fit close and these are the exact opposite. They also made me like 3 inches taller and I couldn't walk / run without tripping.
