Eucerin PROFESSIONAL CARE. Must be professional care.
My burn last week was so severe - huge blisters - by far the worst I've ever had. My girlfriend who came out to the race is a nurse, and thankfully she was able to look at it and tell me to get the Eucerin PC. I alternated that and pure aloe every couple of hours. It didn't relieve the pain, but the healing process was incredibly quick.
I have no remedies to add that haven't been said. I can sympathsize with you, my fair skin burns so easily. Maybe take a pain reliever before bed tonight if your hurting a lot.
ETA: I see your taking Advil already. Whoops. Past my bedtime apparently!
This sounds so weird, but full fat sour cream. Slather some on, leave on for about 15 minutes, wipe off. It will pull so much redness and heat out of it. I've used it when sunscreen has failed me at outdoors masters practices, and it has made nasty burns tolerable within a day.
Wet a washcloth, wring it out, then put apple cider vinegar on it and let it sit on your skin for a while. It'll help with the sting. Full fat sour cream (as said above) also really helps.
Tea! Brew some *really* strong black or Earl Grey Tea, let it cool, then soak a washcloth in it. Lay it on the burn area and let it sit for awhile. It will help. Also, a tepid bath with whole milk and oatmeal helps too
