About mile five today, I noticed my big toenails and they hurt! What the hell? They don't need to be trimmed, and I'm wearing the same model of shoes I've been racing in since January.
Not wearing compression socks? This one pair of 9s isn't really 9? I'm a dumbass? They still hurt.
Are they a bit stiff out of the box? I don't normally need a transition period when it's the same model, but going from the box to a race, particularly if they loosen up a bit after a few runs, could be the cause. Maybe??
