I think katinthehat likes skratch? Or maybe her H??
I have a girlfriend who loves osmo - and she ain't messing around! I think chw57 uses their pre-hydration (& maybe other products?). Their honey and spice recovery is my favorite, but I don't personally use any of their hydration products (I use tailwind). I don't think there's anything wrong with them, I just love what I already use.
Many of the sports drinks are pretty similar. I've heard from many cycling coaches is to find one that you like the taste of and that doesn't upset your stomach.
My coach recently had my switch to Infinit ISIS for the increased electrolytes relative to Hammer Heed. One of my friends liked Skratch but she was into the crunchy-granola aspect of the label (which I have not read to verify) - she is big on organic this, all natural that.
and was there a reason given for switching? (just being nosey)
You know, I don't remember that part of the conversation very well, but I seem to recall her saying something about being a different type of sodium which was easier to digest or absorb or something. I have to ask next time I see her, because I'm drawing a blank.
Nuun works for me pretty well, although I can't drink it when I'm NOT putting out effort, because I don't like the taste. I know she suggested the Osmo preload for long swims, since my race is unsupported and I have to make the whole 5k with no nutrition or fluids. But I don't remember at all why I should switch overall. I swear, I have the memory of a toddler sometimes.

I was just curious because Nuun has no calories and Skratch has just 80 and even the Osmo preload only has 35 (per serving.) So that makes sense for the active portion of your workout but maybe not for preloading when you can't have on course support.
And one of my LBS sells the Skratch in single servings sizes so it's really easy to try out without investing in a big bag of the stuff.
