I'd like to buy an elevated feeder for my dog (German Shepherd) to work with her existing bowls (stainless steel). I'd rather not have to buy a set with new bowls in it. Could you guys recommend a good feeder that's about 12-16" tall? Thanks!

Just an fyi, I fed my dog with an elevated feeder and he ended up getting bloat and passing away... I know genetics can play into bloat as well, but definitely do extensive research before going to an elevated feeder.
I'm of the school who don't use an elevated feeder to prevent bloat. Instead, I use a brake-fast bowl to slow my GSD's eating. I'm also vigilant in looking for symptoms of bloat. Does your dog have a neck issue that an elevated bowl will help?
I was under the assumption that an elevated feeder reduced neck strain, but I didn't know about the bloat issue. So far my dog's bowls have been on a mat on the floor, and that is where they will stay, after the information you provided.
