Hi. I'm ukyankee...a 45 yr old American living for the last 10 years or so in London. I play field hockey and softball, lift weights and am trying to get back into running but have issues with my Achilles that I'm working on improving. I'm on MFP and have lost 15 lbs just eating a bit less and moving a bit more (low and slow). I've just started to try lifting less reps/sets but heavier weights and I'm loving it. But sometimes men are so funny about it. Tonight at the gym a guy decided to tell me that I shouldn't/didn't need to do as heavy a weight while doing my tricep push-downs. And then he wanted to show me how to do another exercise using about 20 lbs less than I ever would. Oh, silly man.
Anyway - feel free to ask me questions if you'd like...or not. But I'll be trying to post more on here as I go. Anyone else do heavy weights? I have a lot to learn about form so I don't hurt myself.
