I ran a 5k. My goals were to run sub 11 minute miles and to run the whole thing. I was able to maintain sub 11 minute miles but ended up walking a few of the second half of hills. The course was a double loop, which was mentally tough because I knew on the second loop when the hills were coming and exactly how long they were going to go on. I'm a little bummed that I didn't run the whole thing, because I've run the distance (and further!) before but I'm excited about my time.
Plus I don't know how you ladies further south do it - I texted N about 15 minutes before the start with "It's a tad hot" and really felt the heat during the run. It was only 65 degrees - I told my mom that I thought it was in the 80s (oops!).
Chip Time 31:49 (a 3+ minute PR!!) Pace: 10:16 97/250 14/35 Age Group
It was also my first time not being towards the back of the pack!!
Well this happened ( I swear it felt worse than it looks!! lol)... Thank goodness for the wine festival at the end, that race was brutal! Overall it was fun (I never intended it to be a PR and it wasn't). Finished in the top 10% of the women with a time of 1:54:15.
Ran a 10k. Ran with my friend so 49ish and some change. It was well run and a beautiful morning in Annapolis. And the swag was pretty good too (tshirt, feetures socks, and a hat).

Family race day was a blast! They had staggered start times so I was able to run the 10k, then watch the kids while DH ran the 5k with the stroller. He did great on such a hilly course! The kids ran a kids trail race that measured a 1/2 mile. DD1 was 2nd and DS wasn't too far behind her. I missed a PR by 4 seconds, and 3rd place (and 50 bucks) by 10 seconds, but I'm still pleased with a 42:25. Next year!
I PRed my 5K this morning with a 23:03!!!! I didn't think I could set a PR going into the race, as it is a hilly course. The first mile was mostly downhill and I ran a 6:51 first mile and managed to hang on for the ride.
I already posted about this in another thread. But I'm a shameless AW. I PRed my 5k on Saturday at 22:29! It was mostly flat with a few hills. No shade so it was quite warm out. I came in 4th out of age group and finished 14th out of 320 women.

My tri this morning went well. I shaved 8 minutes off my time from last year, all of which were on the bike. My pool time was good, but then there was a long run to the transition area that last year's race didn't have. My swim time was almost a minute slower because of this.
My transition times were also slower than last year. I am not sure what was up with that. I also tried to stay calm and steady but apparently that just meant slow.
My bike time was 9 minutes faster than last year. Having a road bike helps so much!
The run was a convoluted course that I didn't really enjoy but it was fine. It was just stupidly complicated for only 2 miles. I felt gassed but am happy with my time
My goals were 4:00 swim (200 yards), 32:00 bike (8 miles) and 20:00 run (2 miles)
My times were Swim 5:31 (but according to my Garmin I was only in the pool for 3:53, so I'm going to say I met my goal), T1 2:33, Bike 30:58, T2 2:03 (I got the Velcro on my visor all tangled up in my hair, so I wasted time fixing that), Run 19:52.
I am really happy with my progress. It helps that this is a really low-key event and I was near the front of the pack the whole time. Running races are never like that for me.

Ran a small 5k today. 30:19 so no PR or sub-30 but it was hot out. About 70* when we started so I will take it as a win since it was so got. I thought I could push it but didn't want to get sick or anything so I slowed up towards the end. I'm excited now for my 10k in 3 weeks.
I did a local 5k today and PRed with a time of 28:35. Not bad given my abductor is still kind of stiff and weak. It's the first time I've let myself run anything faster than a 10:30/mile pace since I pulled my muscle and man it felt good to open up a bit.
Not my fastest 5k distance, but the fastest chip timed 5k race I've done (which doesn't say much since I dont do 5ks often.
So many fast times today! Congrats everyone on a big weekend of races.
I got a 3 second PR in my 5K today (24:59) and am happy to be back in the 24 minute range. My pre-DS PR is 24:16, so beating that is my goal for 2014. My race today was fun and the course was beautiful. I had a few cocktails last night and promptly threw up upon crossing the finish line :/
I ran a semi-local half marathon that has hills (mountains) from hell. I've ran this half three times before and said i'd never do it again. But, then they emailed a discount code to make it a $30 half, so i signed up. They gave great tech tshirts & balega socks as swag (same as the runningwarehouse socks!). Course support was amazing - hills were not. I went into this knowing i hated the course & was running it just to run it. 2:02:17 - my fastest for that course.
My XC MTB race today was completely blah. The course was in perfect shape when I prerode it yesterday. The skies then proceeded to open up and rain 1+" overnight. The roots and rocks were like riding on ice they were so wet. I hate wet roots and rocks. I had a very blah race, and the course was nearly 2 miles longer than advertised. On the positive side, I finished in one piece and my back did not give out on my at all. That is a small victory. It's only a little achy after sitting in the car for 3+ hours driving home.
