Are paper towels that have poop on them compostable? I have some from cleaning up after rinsing four poopy diapers tonight. :S

it's already been answered, but no poop allowed in the green bins. and i wouldn't personally compost them, either, bc poop attracts bugs, which attracts mice, etc.

I know this has already been answered, but the reason is that compost isn't guaranteed to get hot enough when "cooking" to break down human feces to kill the dangerous bacteria. Home compost typically cooks at much lower temperatures than commercial compost so human feces should certainly be kept out of home compost bins, especially if that compost is going on gardens or otherwise getting into your food (or even the groundwater).
