A couple 5k's over the Summer, Western Md Half Sept 6
Week one of my Pfitz half training plan. Eee! There isn't much build up in mileage but the speed work ramps up as we go along, as will the heat! Should be interesting.
M: 13 miles T: 9-10 (jog stroller/gym TM combo) W: 9-10 ( jog stroller/TM), strength class TH: rest F: 8 miles Sa: 9 w/ 5x3:00 at 5k pace, strength DVD Su: 5 miles
M: Strength, Balance circuit, and PT exercises T: Cardio during day, Bike ride after work W: Strength & Cardio Th: Cardio during day, ride after work if weather permits F: Strength & Cardio Sat: Walk and Bike ride Sun: Bike
Highlights: i picked up the bike my friend gave me to use while i'm injured and not allowed to run. I went out Sunday and tried it out. I was a little nervous riding on the road since I haven't ridden a bike since I was a kid. I mean I can take spin class all day but damn being on road was totally different and in a good way. I am hoping once i do it more and more I get used to it..
M- run (week 3, day one C25K) Tu- yoga, strength W- run (w3,d2 C25k) Th- yoga, strength F- run (w3, d3 C25K) S-rest Su- yoga, strength
Last week was my first week running in a while and I only ran once. I had three runs planned and some yoga videos but I never did anything if then the one run.
M - Rest Tu - Probably unplanned rest day, I am running on fumes, maybe I will take DD for a walk W - 4 mi run Th - Rest (travel day) F - 6 mi run Sa - weights Su - 3 mi run
What are you training for? Date? maybe a half in the fall or some smaller races, Potomac River Run Marathon 11/16 (just doing base build up now and some speed work)

Any vents or issues?Nope. I've been feeling pretty good about my running lately.
Highlights or AW's from the past week?PRed at my 5K at 22:29, ran my longest postpartum run at 14 miles the next day, joined a great running group in my town
What are you training for? Date? Right now? Peachtree Road Race, July 4th. Really base building for Kiawah Marathon
Training plan for the week?
M-Run 3
T-Run 3
W-4 or 6 hill training, possibly repeats
T- Run 3
F-Weights
S-Run 8
S- rest/yoga
Any vents or issues? THE FRIGGIN HUMIDITYYYYYYYY. Oh and it's hot, but I think it's the humidity that is killing me. I'm clocking in some serious snail status runs here lately.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I completely crashed and burned on my sprint tri. However, I signed up for another in 8 weeks...hello redemption. Also, in writing that I guess I better incorporate my tri training to aforementioned plan...
What are you training for? Date? 4 mi on 7/4, Half on 10/12
Training plan for the week? 35 easy, 30 hills, 35 tempo, 4 miles
Any vents or issues? I hate when the rest of my life dictates my training schedule. I wasn't able to get my run in yesterday, so I'll have to fit it in somewhere else. There's supposed to be a thunderstorm right in the middle of my group's hill workout tonight, so that may not happen (so off to the treadmill I go :-( ).I have a cold that keeps hanging on, so that with my asthma has not helped my breathing during runs. And I'm really hoping my thyroid isn't acting wonky again. I've been going to bed early the last few nights, and I'm still exhausted in the morning.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Actually had a good run last Saturday. I really do like my new training group. I don't feel like as much of a slug when I'm with them.

Any vents or issues? Nothing out of the ordinary
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Nothing special, just trucking along
What are you training for? Date? Not sure yet. Definitely a couple of fall half marathons. I really want to do some summer 5/10ks, but I need to acclimate to the heat before committing.
Training plan for the week? M - strength T - 3 mile run W - chasing DD around the playground R - 3 mile run F - strength S - rest Su - 4 mile run
Any vents or issues? I took a month off after my last half, and I feel like I'm starting from scratch again. I know it's really a combination of needing to acclimate to the heat/humidity and needing to find some motivation in general because I know I couldn't have lost THAT much endurance in 4 weeks, but it still sucks.

What are you training for? Date? My "graduation" race from the 10K program I am in, a bunch of 5Ks in the summer, and the Metric Marathon in September.
Training plan for the week? M: Unplanned rest. T: Group track workout W: 4-7 miles T: 3 easy miles F: 7 miles S: Planned rest S: 3-5
This is the last week of my training group, so it's a light week. Which I need!
Any vents or issues? I'm feeling overwhelmed with non-running stuff this week, so I feel like I am slacking a bit. I'll be fine in a week or so.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Looking forward to signing up for the summer half training group.

M - off T - run 2 miles W - off Th - run 5 miles, 3 at GHMP F - swim, if I can get it in - have child care issues S - run 8 miles S - bike, run 2 miles
Any vents or issues? aforementioned constant work, childcare, traveling-husband schedule-juggling
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Had a great tri on Sunday. I feel like I performed about as well as possible for me right now. I'm still not breaking any land-speed records, but it's a good feeling to know you left it all out on the course. I also had a lot of FUN along the way.

Training plan for the week? M: strength T: 4 miles hills W: 4-5 miles Th: rest F: race day! 6.9 miles (am), 5.3 at 11 pm S: 4.2 miles Su: 3 miles or so

What are you training for? Date?

Any vents or issues? Nope
Highlights or AW's from the past week? My inlaws flew in over the weekend to pick-up DD for a couple weeks at their house. I miss her already, but it's funny how having *just* an infant at home seems so peaceful and easy these days.

What are you training for? Date? BAA 10k 6/22, Michelob Half 9/14, Kiawah 12/13, with a few 5k's, 10k's, and 15k's in there
Training plan for the week? Mon - rest/demolition a deck Tues - rest/finish demolition a deck/laying the foundation for a new patio Wed - 5k in the evening with a day of heavy lifting patio stone stuff around the yard Thurs - more patio building Fri - patio building Sat - 5 mile run Sun - 6 mile run
Any vents or issues? I am so tired after lifting stone and stone dust all week and I have a lot more to do.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Had a decent 5k over the weekend even with the heat and humidity. I will be great at lifting by the end of the week.
What are you training for? Date? Mountain bike racing in general. I'm doing an endurance mountain bike series this summer.
Training plan for the week? Sunday: mountain bike race, Monday: massage, Tuesday: Intervals (90 minute ride), Wed.: 60 minute recovery ride, Thursday: group ride, Friday: off, Sat.: Endurance mountain bike race, Sunday: ?? depends on how tired I am from my race
What are you training for? Date? Myrtle Edwards 10k 6/29, Seafair sprint tri 7/20, Lake Stevens Olympic tri 9/6
Training plan for the week? Today: mile to work, spin class, mile from work. Wednesday: mile to work, yoga, mile from work Thursday: 5 mile run with intervals? 10K? I dunno. Something. Friday: rest Saturday: bike ride? bike->run brick? shrug Sunday: swim? swim->bike? bike recovery? run recovery?
Any vents or issues? I have this random pain in the inside of my left leg when I run. Just above my ankle. Sometimes. I couldn't tell you what causes it. Running fast? Stopping and starting?
Highlights or AW's from the past week? First brick workout. 13 mile bike ride->1 mile run. Biking was slow because of lots of stoppin & starting. Still, the run was at 8:00, way faster than I expected! But not sure I could keep it up for 3.1. Since I'm a swimmer I feel pretty good about where I am for the sprint tri.
Training for: nothing in particular. Still trying to hammer away at the weight loss (it goes very slowly for me), and maintain mileage and speed as it gets warmer.
Plan for the week: M: 8 mile run T: rest W: yoga and 6 mile run Th: lift and 3 mile run F: swim, possible 3 mile run S: 10 mile run S: leave for Mexico, try to get in 3-6 miles either before or after
Vents: It's getting hot. I think it's getting to the point where any real significant speed work is going to be few and far between, which is easy since I don't have any big races for a while. I'm also trying to figure out how I'm going to maintain decent mileage once I start later this month. I'm thinking a headlamp will be a good investment.
Highlights: I haven't sped up much in the past few weeks, but I haven't slowed down either and it's definitely rapidly getting hotter. I think all my mid-day runs are paying off.
