Well, as a middle-aged woman whose distance running days are behind her, I'd say: diversify. Work your whole body with functional fitness, not X number of miles, or X lbs of weight, as the end goal.
I wouldn't have listened to that advice when I was young, though, so do with that what you will, lol.
You have to find something you enjoy, or you are never going to stick with it. Am I the most well rounded when 95% of what I do is running? Probably not. Would my fitness, strength, body, be more balance if I did other things? Probably. With that said, it's what I enjoy, and it's something I do without having to make myself do it. If I was forcing myself to do something because I felt like I had to, there's no way I would stick with it.
Also, if you're trying to make overall drastic changes, pick one small thing at a time. Don't try & change everything at once, or you'll set yourself up for failure.

Yeah, it seemed suspicious, but it wasn't all "click on this link here" like previous spam, so I figured, what the hell, I'll respond. As soon as I read it, I just thought "Well this is an odd question."
