(you guys know why i'm saying not on facebook, right? since we're all pretty much fb friends...it defeats the purpose of this board if it's just a double......)
I am barely friends with anyone on Facebook! Post allllllll you pics
So if you *are* lucky enough to be my fb friend or read the Weds thread you know I am currently on bed rest. Also hoping none of my students spit on my sub this time...it's happened.
Anyways everyone keeps telling me the baby has dropped and I was like "dudes I think you're all deluding yourselves" until I looked at the pics from last week to this week (also I can breathe again and my heartburn is so much better!).
For your viewing and comparing pleasure 36 and 37 weeks...ignore my grouchy face. I am a delightful bubbly (modest lol) person who finds selfie taking very difficult. I have to concentrate.
mrslefty: Sorry you're on bed rest. Hope you don't get too bored and you have a healthy baby soon, but not too soon. When is your due date?
E is 10 months! He had a check up this week and his 19.1 lbs and 24". About 30% in weight, 50% in height, and almost 70% for his head. She lectured me about him still doing night feedings, so I increased the size of his bottles again (every time I try he doesn't finish, but he seems to be doing OK this time) and he almost STTN last night. She also was concerned he might be a little behind on some cognitive things, but I think it's stuff I hadn't tried to teach him or hadn't paid attention to. So, we did some new activities this week and he caught on quickly. Still crawling everywhere, pulling himself up to stand constantly and on everything.
alias June 21st. I have an ultrasound and appointment on Thursday and they will decide to induce me or keep me on bed rest or even let me go back to work then. So if they did induce me I'd be 28 weeks. I'd rather not be induced so I am really trying to convince the baby to want to come out. I even offered it ice cream. I'm not above bribery

Sorry, only pics are on FB.
are you using the word "lectured" loosely? i would not be okay with a pediatrician lecturing me about night-feeds. sometimes it's about the comfort. overnight is a long time to go without the reassurance of mom nearby.

I have a snack every night about 2 am lately... and even not 100 years KTFU I sometimes wake up hungry. Sometimes your tummy just needs something at night!
WAIT how did E get to be 10 months old? He looks like such a little man in your pics
He pulls himself up into standing position, usually fussing the whole time bc he knows he is going to get stuck (usually his legs are too far back or he presses his face against whatever he has pulled up on). He finally sits for short periods if he has something interesting to do (previously would arch his back and lie down or flip over to crawl away). Loves tickling, pinwheels and peekaboo. Monday while playing peekaboo when I uncovered my face he was *right* there and attacked, mouth open, teeth glinting (picture a leopard seal*) and bit me on my nose. There's still a cut there today. People think he's giving baby kisses, but nope. *http://www.redbubble.com/people/davesmith/works/1353868-leopard-seal?p=poster#zoom
E does the leopard seal thing too, but I bob and weave.
jennlin & mrslefty, I am using "lecture" loosely. But, at his 6 month and now she's told me he should be able to STTN, he should not be waking up b/c he's hungry, it's comfort and creating a habit and he's not learning to self-sooth and if I am comfortable, I should consider letting him cry it out. Also, she says that b/c he does sometimes STTN. I told her I'm pretty sure he's actually hungry, especially lately, and she said that could be, but it's b/c he's not eating enough during the day and I shouldn't force feed him (he likes small meals every couple hours and I've had trouble getting him to take more than 4 ounces at a time), but if I don't feed him at night a few days, he'll start eating more during the day. I tried to let him cry the other night for like 10 mintues, but then I couldn't take it. I did up his bottles to 5 ounces yesterday and he finished them all (he's never done that before) and slept better last night, only woke once and wasn't really hungry. Today, I made 6 ounce bottles and we'll see how it goes.
I don't know that much has been going on with the girls. M is definitely in the midst of hellion 3's. I love her but man she can get my blood boiling. But when she is good she is sooooo good and I just want to be with her all the time when she is like that.
J is getting so big! Almost 5 1/2 months and eating like she's been doing it for months. She can scoot herself on the floor if she is laying on her back she just pushes off the floor with her feet to scoot herself around until she head butts something. She is also growing out of her clothes so fast that she is not going to match up with the seasons for what I have from M lol Oh well!
I am also in the midst of planning a 1/2 bday for M and it is fun but slightly stressful. I am excited for the options I have of things to do outside for the kids vs my limited options in the winter for her actual birthday. I know some people frown upon the 1/2 bdays but it seems to work better so it's less stressful around chrismtas.
I was on bedrest but only for like 1 day before my OB induced me. @lefty are you having blood pressure issues? If you have pre-e and want to talk about what to expect from an induction let me know. My OB was great about explaining to me what was going to happen but I basically had no preparation until the day before.
Blb is going through a tough stage that I think is going to last for a couple more years She's so funny. Funny funny girl. Loooooves to dance and sing (yay!). She is still thriving at daycare and making great friends. Right now she's really in to her stuffed animals, especially her muno doll from yo gabba gabba (more wash gabby bah!) and she's really starting to get in to snuggling. I still can't get her to sleep or lay with me but I'll get a full minute of snuggles occasionally now. Hahaha.
Here is Blb and h sharing rice noodles tonight. Also, for none Fb friends here is a picture of her sassing me tonight.
ilovebed I would love to hear about your induction. My appointment is tomorrow and they indicated I'll probably get induced unless my bp has come down.
My bp has been high for about 3 weeks now and gets just a little higher each time. I have no other signs of pre eclampsia though I'm doing a 24 hour urine catch today so we'll see tomorrow. I am very nervous about being induced and that not working.
That second pic of blb is adorable maybe not so cute when she's sassing you but girlfriend has spunk and you can totally see that.
Baby stretch hit 10 months today (my ticker appears to be a few days off). Last week he had some sort of eye infection so we treated with antibiotics. Then on Monday woke up with hives all over, went to the doc and he had some sort of allergic reaction, potentially to the antibiotics. Or could have been the new sunscreen we put on him Sunday (I doubt it). He's all better now, but between the eye infection and the hives the kid has been to school twice in 6 or 7 business days!
Hoping we get an illness-free week or two. Kid can't catch a break.

My nearly 3 year old still needs to eat at night. We are down to probably 2 or 3 nights a week but he asks for food - and is HUNGRY. He nursed at night 2-3 times for 20-30 minutes GULPING milk until he weaned at 29 months. Some kids eat around the clock. My teenager still does. and he's a healthy 18 year old.
He's never taken more than four ounces at a time. But this week I tried five ounces on each bottle and he ate them and only woke up once. So, yesterday I did 6 ounces and he ate them and STTN *fingers crossed* this is the new normal.
showing off my teen son - our relationship is still struggling but apparently that's normal. Still hurts my mama heart to watch some of his choices. Here's a video of his pitching at his game last night. So much talent!! I will probably delete this later...
I am sorry you guys are going through a bit of a rough patch. I don't know if it will make you feel better or not, but at 23 I still have some struggles with my mom too and it hurts me too. I am sure one day he will realize what a fantastic loving mom he has and it will hit him.
Very tardy to the party, but I'm here! I'm 31 weeks along...can't believe how fast the end of pregnancy is approaching! I joined a vanpool this week and it's awesome. I'm getting to work 30 minutes earlier and don't have to run for the bus in the morning and the ferry in the afternoon. DH just left this morning on a business trip so it's just G and me until we meet him in Boston on Wednesday. She's been an angel our first 4 hours solo, but has been napping for 2 of them. My real test starts when she wakes up.
Some new pics from the playground yesterday and today...yesterday she refused to smile so instead I asked for her "grumpy pigeon" face. New things: she can finally hop off the ground! She used to bounce without going up. She has been climbing a little more too. Still very verbal and very cuddly.
