I signed L up for classes and we have flash cards with super bright pictures. Then we taped the words to some common objects to remind ourselves to use them.
I took 8 years of French so my kid is probably speaking Spanish with a French accent. Plus I can't obviously help teach syntax and so forth (hence the classes), so I do vocabulary.
I think DSs old daycare had labels in English and Spanish for everything. I put his toys on the Spanish settings whenever I remember. He won't understand but I figure its exposure ::shrug::

My Spanish teacher in high school did something I thought was cool. Both he and his wife spoke Spanish, but she was a native speaker, he was not. Anyways, he spoke English to there daughter, wife spoke Spanish. Daughter could answer them in either language she wanted. She was fairly fluent by 3rd grade
