We have a lavender plant in our front yard, as do many of our neighbors. Bumblebees and honeybees love those things, so every time E sees a lavender he runs up and says, "HI BOM-BLEE!" (his pronunciation of "bumblebee"), then looks for the bees. When he walks away, he says "Buh-bye, bomblee!"
Yellow = lello Penis = wenis If you tell him that it's raining he throws his arms up in the air and exclaims "oh no!" and runs to the window Every morning at breakfast he looks for the 2 blue jays that come to my deck feeder. If they're not there he sings "birdy? Whereareyou? Birdy?"
His tricycle is his re-sike-u-lo. If he wants up its carroo instead of carry me. Or its uppy uppy, instead of just up. On the other hand, he has started saying "yes" instead of "yeah" and it makes him sound so grown up.
DS1 is almost 3.5 Am not = amn't Sewer system = skewer system (of course, talking about where poop goes!)
He's also naming things and explaining them to me. The words are frequently fairly normal sounding words, so I never know if he knows something I don't or if he's making something up! "That's a concomidor boat, Mommy! That means it's a remote control boat that goes really fast!" He tries to teach me LOTS of things during the day.
He's also big into calling me "honey" right now. ETA: "Mommy, did you put those flowers on the porch because you love me?!? Aww...that was sweet!"
He's suddenly obsessed with coffee. He came in to our room last Sunday morning, hopped up on top of me and declared, "where'd foffee go?" Then we sat down to breakfast, and my H set his coffee a little too close to A's plate, so he said "no please*, no foffee". (*He doesn't quite get no thank you, he says no please instead)
He thinks cars are "home". I guess this is what happens with a suburb baby, we're always talking about "let's go home" when we go to the car, so he thinks the car is "home" rather than the house.
I asked him what's the magic word and he said "abba abba".

Yesterday, Nods was asking for some type of snack and I couldn't figure out what she was saying, so I was trying out words. I eventually said "crasins" and she said "oooookay". It wasn't was she originally wanted, but apparently it was an even better option.
My son calls milk, "Gook". We're trying to correct him on that one, not something you want a child yelling out.
socks and shoes = Ox and Oooos
Truck = Gok
Car = Gar
Grandma = WaWa-day.....I don't know on that one, but when he says goodbye to my mom, she says, "Bye-bye wa-wa-day." I think he picked up pig latin somewhere.

DS helps us make the coffee. He closes the lid on the coffee maker, and presses the brew button.

DS called milk "gook" for.ev.er. I don't know where he came up with it.
Right now, he's saying, "Cool" to pretty much any answer we give him. "Where's Dad?" "Dad is at work." "Cool." He also has started saying "Yes" instead of "Yeah" in this funny voice that sounds a little like Napoleon Dynamite.
DD has started calling herself "Dah dah" since she can't say "Elsa." She also likes to tickle and be tickled. She says "Tee tee, Mom! Tee tee, Mom!" while she tickles me. Then she says, "Tee Tee, Dah dah!" when she wants to be tickled.
Rhinoceros = "rhinorocerous" Ravioli = "rabby-rolly" Elevator = "alligator"
DS1 says alligator for elevator too. Last week on vacation he'd run down the hall in the hotel and yell "I wanna push the button in the alligator!" every time we went somewhere.
Orange is "oveh" (sounds like oven with a "huh" sound at the end). Bananas are still "la la", I don't know why.
And when he gets excited he runs through every word he knows. Tonight when I told him we were going to Grammy's for dinner, he started clapping and said "Grammy birds water bubbles BATH!" Which actually is a very apt description of what we do at Grammy's house. We feed her birds, play in her fountains, play bubbles, and take a bath.
