One that started when I was younger and has continued about once or twice a year, I'll be in my parent's house looking for places to hide but not know why. Then I'll suddenly remember that a T-rex is chasing me. I'll always end up hiding in the same place and the dream ends when he puts his face right in front of me and I'm screaming. Perhaps I was too young to have watched Jurassic Park?
Also the one where I'm chewing food and then realize it's just my teeth falling out of my gums and I'm chewing them over and over. Ugh.

Oh, the teeth dreams! Yuck. And the showing up for finals but never having taken the class, and losing my locker combination, too. Glad to know I'm not alone!
The worst recently was being in a car with husband driving, in the center lane with a semi on either side of us and one in front, and the truck next to me starts to merge and there's nowhere for us to go... I remember yelling "I love you!" and wondering if I'd survive, and then it was brake lights and black..... Really freaky.
I also get sleep paralysys, but that's a whole other ball of wax... ::shudder::
The only dream I have that is recurring happens at least once a week where I wake up in a sweat. The dream itself changes every time, but the main theme is that one of my kids has fallen or is about to fall off something really high, usually the CN tower. I always wake up just as I realize that I can't reach them.
I've been told (by completely unreliable sources) that this type of dream means that I am having a hard time giving up control of my kids, which makes sense as they are both teenagers and are starting to find their own independence.
I have tons of falling dreams or elevators going out of control but rather than falling (which is actually so incredibly rare these days) it goes extremely fast up.
- having to pee but not being able to go in an appropriate place for whatever reason. Last night I peed in a giant ziplock bag and, in the process, ended up spraying pee everywhere, including all over my purse.
- trying to dial the phone in an emergency but either not being able to find the number or not being able to enter it in correctly.
- teeth crumbling and falling out
- end of the semester, and I realize I haven't been attending class
- beginning of semester, and I can't find my classes
- claustrophobia in the back seat of a car
- trying to run or walk outside, and there are those giant banana spiders and webs everywhere I turn
- stray cats getting into the basement (I've never had a basement)
- landlady forces us to have a roommate or roommates
I have a lot of anxiety. lol.
I also have this house I'm in a lot in my dreams. The house has two sides (sort of wings, I guess, but not really b/c the house is laid out in one big rectangle), and the side we never use is AWESOME, but I always forget it's there. It has this huge, deep soaking tub in it.
Tamb, i have a few of the same ones you have! wow!!!
Two of my most disturbing dreams are:
~ I can't hide in my house b/c there is a window everywhere I look and people are always looking in on me. I am crunched up in a corner, trying to hide, and I just can't. There is no private place anywhere!!!
~ I'm in some kind of war/turmoil/disaster and I have to pretend I'm one of the bad guys just in order to survive. There are always lots of bombs and guns and I often have to save people and make them believe that I'm really a "good guy" dressed up as "one of them!" :-|
