I started C25K (again) the issuenis my friend burns 500+ calories and I am in the high 200s.
And you know this how?
My guess is that if she is also doing C25k, she is not. There are lots of tools and estimators for calorie burn, some of which are more accurate than others. The estimates on cardio equipment are notoriously high.
Even if she WAS burning 500 kcal in a workout, you shouldn't compare yourself to someone else. Just pick a sensible course for your own journey and stay it. Besides, high 200s is more than you'd burn on the couch, right?
I'm not buying 500 calories, however, even if she is, it doesn't matter. You know what does matter? The steps you are taking, and the habits you are creating. The effort you are putting forth to change the course of your health matters. TEN pounds in one month matters (AWESOME)! Does it make you feel good? That matters too! Keep it up.
