And really, yes we have a lot of runners, but we have a lot of non-runners too. Running is just more popular than other activities, and very easily accessible to most which is why we have a heavy concentration of 'em. Doesn't mean you can't come hang out with us!
Speaking of heavy lifting, we're doing a deload week at my box this week, not much lifting, in preparation for next week, which we will be doing 1-rep-max for all of the oly lifts. I'm super excited!
also, some runners are also into heavy lifting. they are not mutually exclusive.
i don't lift much now but i trained for a figure competition before i had kids. i just could not pose for the life of me.
when i do lift, i lift heavy. i have no time for high reps!
