Ugh. Why did my husband have to tell me?!?! Elijah took 4 steps this morning and supposedly was quite proud of himself. Apparently, this also tired him out as he immediately started napping following his steps. He is growing up.
H insists that DS walked in the AM on his first birthday (when I didnt see it) but I refuse to believe this happened and insist that the first time I saw him walk (later that day) was his first time walking. H lets me pretend :-)
I don't remember specifically when DD took her first steps. There were a couple where we weren't sure if she stepped on purpose or by accident. So, see, even being there isn't always a momentous occasion.
But good job E! Do it again when your mama can see you.

Is it weird that I was happy that DS3 took his first steps when he was with DH and not me? DH works and I SAH, so I get to see most of the firsts. DH was so unbelievably happy that DS walked first for him that I was more happy for DH than sad about missing it.
