Close your right nostril with your thumb or index finger, close your mouth, and slowly inhale through your left nostril. Exhale through your mouth. Switch sides. Do that a few times and it will slow your body down/relax it.
It helps me to keep everything in perspective. I will ask myself "what's the worse that can happen?" and come up with a solution for that in my head. After that, the other things don't seem as bad.
I can't touch cotton. So no, I don't think that's weird. People have strange tactile/sensory aversions. I wonder why?
I knew a kid in college who claimed this, so people in his classes put cotton balls all over his desk (he was in architecture/engineering) and they said he really did flip his shit and have to blow his desk clear. He would not touch them with any part of his body. So weird.
