In Season 2 of Doctor Who Army of Ghosts, guess who I just noticed. Its Martha!!! In Torchwood one of the ghost shift workers. She isn't Martha but the actress who plays her also is playing her. She gets turned by cybermen and ends up dead.
Did everyone else know, and I am the last one to ever notice?
Doctor Who has a history of reusing actors. Karen Gillan and Peter Capaldi were both in The Fires of Pompeii.
They actually explained it in the show by having Martha say she had a cousin who worked in the Torchwood Tower.
Peter Capaldi also has a fairly large role in Torchwood - Children of Earth.
I should say I recently revised my opinion of Torchwood. A while ago on this board I said that I hated it, but hadn't gotten past half of season 1. After I found out that James Marsters was in a couple episodes in season 2 I gave it another chance. And now I like Torchwood I watched 2-4 then went back to season 1. Which still has some terrible/cringeworthy episodes plus Eve Myles really couldn't act at first, so I'm not surprised I didn't get into it that way.

I got through half of season 1 and then skipped to 3 and 4 which were much better. I'll go back and watch the rest soon.

Yeah, Torchwood starts out cheesy/awful...then it gets entertaining...then it gets good...then it gets riveting/traumatic.
