I couldn't even read the whole review. Once I got to the comment about the first line I decided the sad fact that this woman continued to read the book to completion far outweighed and funny she could squeeze from it.
Thanks for sharing, I couldn't stop laughing. I'm one of the sad sad people who read the books and everthing she said is 100% true, but I still kept going......sue me.

I had no desire to read this book, and this just cements that for me. What I don't get is why I see stupid meme's on FB and Pinterest expressing that women want a guy like Christian. Hello, you can have amazing sex with a guy who isn't a prick.
Nonono, the final one at the actual link. I know where the david bowie one is from. (yum yum yum)
This one:
Is that Monty Python's Meaning of Life?? It has their sort of comedic timing to it....
Not Meaning of Life, but I believe it is from a Python. I might be wrong, but I think it's from of one of John Cleese's management videos.
Ok, so Google tells me it's from The IT Crowd. Which, yes, now that I look at it. That explains why it was familiar and also why it felt Monty Python-esque (since Graham Lineham's work is often cited as being in the same vein).
I so want to share this on FB but I have at least one good friend who loved it. Don't want to offend her, but I agree w/ everything in this even though I have never read the book. My own non random sampling has shown that the intelligent readers among my friends hate it and the not as intelligent ppl I have come in contact with love it. I'm going to start using this book as a litmus test for stupidity. Or a fun game b/w me and DH "10 bucks she loves shades of grey..."
