We're stuck. We have no idea what we're going to name this child. We've thrown out a few ideas, but nothing is sticking as 'the one'.
Also, my FIL is pestering us (not that I'd give in to his pestering), because we announced M's name at the baby shower, and FIL had this 'moment' where now his granddaughter had an identity and he went all weepy and it was weird. He wants that same thing again - and I'm sort of tempted to not give it to him. (devil)
I'm okay with not naming him until we meet him on his birthday, but it'd be nice to at least have a couple of contenders. LOL
niq, what was that baby name site you used and liked? I'm just tired of searching and finding NOTHING.
How did you pick M's name? Is there any family heritage, etc., or is it just a name you liked? What did you like about it? What criteria are you looking for in baby boy's name?

M was kind of a fluke, actually. LOL I heard it once, liked it, and J came up with the middle name. It was kind of meant to be, I guess.
Male names in our families are... well, not super great IMO. I want Edward for my grandfather (it's his middle name), but the rest of the males in my family are boring. We have plenty of Alex, Jeffrey, Andrew, Ryan, David, Albert, Clyde, Robert, Stewart, Steven... nothing jumps out at me, really. Then my cousin named his boys Boone and Von. Which are cool and all, but not our style.
We'd ultimately like something in the Spanish/Italian family, but not TOO ethnic sounding, or hard to spell, or hard to pronounce properly after reading it once. I've also decided it's fine to give the baby J's name as a middle. It's about my husband, not my FIL. So... we're still working on it, obviously. LOL I just hope once we find it, it'll be like lightning hitting us and we'll know it's THE NAME.
I really like Edward it's my dad's name and I wanted it to be H's name but DH didn't like it so we middle named it. I had a student named Viggo this year and I thought that was a cool name. other boy names from my class I like but could never use because. ..students... Julian, Adrian, Tomas, Elias, Gabriel, Lucas.
Well, we don't want anything too long (since our last name is pretty long even though it's 'common').
I love the name Benjamin Edward, but J feels differently. He's warming up to Benjamin, though.
We need to have a name that can be shortened or has a nickname that can be done in Spanish. For example, M's name at IL's house is Mayita. So say for Benjamin, we'd call him Benito at IL's house. And then I think of Benito flakes, but whatever. LOL
I like biblical names (James, Joseph, etc), but J isn't too fond of them (he thinks they sound too formal, and they're too common).

LOL Viggo makes me think of Ghostbusters 2. "It's Viggo!"
But I like Julian for sure, and Lucas! My BIL is Gabriel, and J's cousin is Adrian (though I do like that name).

H like Manny for a nickname and thought about Emmanuel or Roman as the full name. I like Henry a lot. That's my top pick. Matthew is a close second and that's H's first choice now. It's my little brother's name.
Daniel was high on my list too, as well as Xavier, Andrew, Lucas, and Zachary. I love Julian too, and think Mateo would be a great name for you to use (we avoid Hispanic names to not further confuse people since DH is Filipino but often gets mistaken for Hispanic).
