I know there have been a number of people who were put off by last season as well as the all-stars season, but I am pretty excited for the return of Tim Gunn. Anyone watching tonight?

Thanks for the reminder, I didn't know it was coming back. What network is it on again? It's not Bravo anymore, right?
So who do you think will be the ones who ditch the show? My guesses are Alicia (the lesbian dreadlock lady) and Lantie.
What is with Lantie anyway? I mean she looks AMAZING for 48, but I think it's because she looks incredibly immature, like both her body and her mind are actually 22 years old...
I actually liked Joshua last season. Not his clothes, just him. He made me laugh a lot. Gunnar... makes me want to push needles in my ears.
I agree. Joshua... he annoyed me at times, but big picture, he was funny. And he dind't come out of the gate w/ this "I hate ___, I'm going to be a drama queen about it" like Gunnar is. It's the FIRST episode and it's starting. Ugh.

I wonder whose idea it was, on how to get him on this season after he failed to make it previously? Could have been his, it's obvious enough to anyone who has seen this show that strong personality will carry you as well or even better than talent. However, maybe production encouraged him to turn up the bitch, and they'd promise him a spot. And since that was part of the agreement, that's why he's playing it that way right out of the gate.
I have so little faith in reality tv anymore, and how planned and scripted it is. So many fans of this show have expressed their frustration with this aspect of it, how drama reigns over talent/ability, far more than in earlier seasons. It honestly has soured me on this season already, to see the show, yet again, encouraging petty drama instead of just letting us be impressed by talented people making beautiful creations.
For me, what bothers me the most of the last seasons of PR isn't the drama but the judges sticking to one contestant no matter what. For example, with Gretchen or Anya, in my opinion they both did crappy collections for the finale but "they had to win" for the sake of keeping the trend of winning every challenge in the competition.

Except it was Mondo, not Gretchen, who dominated in the challenges leading up to the finale.
