We just started the second season of Downton Abbey, so I can't chime on the acting. However, if it's anything like the first season I'd vote for it. We are really enjoying it.
2V, I don't know how to tell you this, but please trust that I am doing this out of kindness.
It's not like the second season. It's just ... not.
I'm so sorry. Grief counseling will be available on the board when you are ready.

Wait..are you saying the second season isn't as good as the first?
To be fair, we did have a spirited debate the other day about whether season 2 was really that bad, and it is indeed possible to have a different opinion on this. :-)
ETA: Touche as to Lost! You are well primed for any potential disappointment.
I have only seen about 10 minutes of 30 Rock and Big Bang Theory and they sucked so much that I couldn't continue watching.
Modern Family used to be better, but these season was meh. I agree that Ed Harris is the best. I also would like to see Louie win everything its nominated for. Such a fantastic show.
I'm a big fan of The Good Wife, and while it's not quite as good most of the cable dramas, I think it's the best show on network TV. So I'm happy to see so many nods for it even if it won't ultimately be victorious. Though Michael J Fox should win for his guest appearances. The episodes were he appears are my favorites. He's really great.
Also, this reminds me that I need netflix to start streaming season 4 of Damages, stat.
