Has anyone had the experience of going through with a due process? We had a mediation in April and although we came to an agreement that benefited my son, it is not being carried out and his needs aren't being met. We are filing a due process rather than a mediation this time. Anything I should know about, be prepared for?

In short, the reason for ours started in July, we filed after the final straw in November. It didn't resolve until May. We spend $40,000 in legal fees, experts, and other costs associated, but our case was pretty unique. In the end we settled, so we didn't see a penny back in legal fees, but we got everything we needed.
Any specific questions?
Best piece of advice: if you find a lawyer that quotes you a price that will cover everything "until the first court date," know that the first court date is usually a settlement hearing, and most cases don't settle that day. In fact, most your costs won't be incurred until after that day, so don't think you're getting any big deal.
No specific questions just things I needed to know. I'm just so tired of excuses, code nor being followed, his needs not being met because of excuses, and him being frustrated.
