I think this is how I'm going to end any discussion of money or finances with DH. For example...

DH: Woah, a trip to Costco for over $200?
Me: We needed food and sunscreen - that place is tough to get out of for less than $150. Plus..."We've given YOU PEOPLE all you need to know!"

*cringe* I can understand who the "you people" was directed to but... yeah. No. "You people" is never a positive connotation.

But maybe I've worked with too many southern folk who would drop the "you people" whenever they wanted to be condescending assholes.
