I know, I KNOW I'm behind on the times, but I'm kind of glad, because I was able to binge read them this week all in a row instead of dying for the next one to come out.
So come discuss with me:
Anyway ... how did everyone who was in the capitol come to be there originally?
Is there significance with St Peter abs Peeta's name ... vs Gale (a violent storm)?
And WHY do authors insist on giving an epilogue with children? I don't know that I needed that.

Agree, Book 1 was the best of the series. The Capital people are the people who lived there during the rebellion, at least that was my assumption, and have continued to live there.
Interesting catch on the names, I didn't think about it but it does play into what each character represents (Peeta- civil resistance/etc, Gale-violent overthrow).
I generally agree with you but I think in this particular book it did have deeper meaning because she had been so afraid of having children and seeing them go through the reaping. I think it is supposed to show that she is healing/does believe that the games are finished. So I think symbolically it is appropriate.
