Why do people insist on making every private detail of their lives public? You don't have to be ashamed of it, but why would you feel the need to tell everyone about it either?
Strange! WTF is the point of all this and how are they not AWing? I would cut it down to this:
Maria Lemos and Mario Maccioni were married Saturday at the Church of Our Lady of Peace in New York. The Rev. Bartholomew Daly performed the ceremony.
Ms. Lemos graduated from Colégio Santos Dumont in Rio de Janeiro. She is a daughter of the late Maria Lemos and the late Dr. Claudio Lemos.
Mr. Maccioni is the vice president of LC International. His parents are Sirio Maccioni and Egidiana Maccioni.
The couple met in May 2010 in White Plains and quickly struck up a friendship. In September 2010, they began dating. Mr. Maccioni proposed the next Valentine's Day.

You need credentials to get in the NYT wedding announcements. you've stripped them of all the interesting tidbits like his family owning Vegas restaurants.
I'm not sure what's AWy about telling the whole world your grief over selling the family house landed you in the nutfarm with a lady who didn't want to go to treat her own issues because the beach was calling.

Yeah, cuz I was being tasteful. Oh I see what you did there.
Insane. Once it is on the internet, you can't take it back. Maybe people that know them today won't care, but it seems shortsighted, because you never know what kind of turns your career will take, and this could hurt them in the future.
I think it's wonderful that we are coming to a place where mental illness can be discussed. If they met in say the radiation wing of a hospital would it be AWy or TMI?
Keep in mind The NYT purposefully puts interesting couples in their wedding section. They are trying to tell a story.
That is how I feel about the New York Times wedding section.
Every now and then the Times tries to troll the matrimonial-industrial complex by featuring an "off the beaten path" look at the weddings and relationships of drug addicts/dealers, homeless people, criminals, people who went to state school, and the like. :-( :-(

Crazy. And totally par for the course for the NYT. I once read an announcement where the groom resisted proposing to the bride for years because he thought she was "too old" for him. She was several years younger than he was.
