It's a cold, grey, windy, nasty winter day here and I'm bored. I had planned to do the grocery shopping, but it's raining sideways so I've put that off until DH gets off tonight and we can drive.
So what's happening in your world today? Anything exciting? Anything interesting you've found and want to share?
QOTD: What's one toy that even as an adult you still stop to play with for a while?
Good morning!!! Today I'm going to meet H for lunch and do some shoe shopping for a wedding I'm going to in 2 weeks. I'm wearing my old wedding dress from the civil ceremony (knee length and simple) but I'm changing the shoes and adding a colored scarf so that it doesn't look the same as it did 4 years ago. Also, the shape of the dress hides the fact that my belly isn't as flat as it was before
QOTD: We just bought a new toy that turns our kitchen table into a ping-pong table. It is a lot of fun For more traditional toys, I like Rubiks cubes and etch-a-sketch. I even like coloring books!

Morning!!
It's the opposite here....we're currently at 36 degrees C, with a high of 42 for the day. Ah summer in the desert :-P
It's middle of the week here thank goodness. Enjoying our last few days before Ramadan begins and the country basically shuts down :-P We did a final run to the alcohol store last night to get a few more cases of beer. The store closes for the whole month of Ramadan, so stocking up is essential!!!
Today is pretty low key. Finishing up some last minute stuff for end of fiscal year, and I have to give orientation today to some visiting faculty here for a summer program. Tonight running some errands with a friend!
QOTD: Hmm...maybe a slinky? I also used to love to play Oregon Trail, ha ha. I would probably play that again if it was on my computer :-P
The weather has been awful here. Lots of rain in the morning. A short sun in the evening and than more rain. Everything feels damp and it's been cold.
Today, I have therapy. Than I'm picking up pictures to put in the envelopes for my neighbor girls. They are at summer camp. And I remember how fun it was to get mail.
Morning / afternoon all! I'm just enjoying the one week so far in the summer where no one is going anywhere and we can just be at home. DH is off to Italy for work half of next week and then we're going to the states in mid-July. It's very frenetic this summer!
We actually went to look at 3 houses over the weekend and are going to offer on one today. They have a ton of interest so I don't think we can afford it but just in case we're wrong we thought we'd go for it. We've rented for... wow... 12 years now so it's a pretty exciting idea!
QODT: Colouring. I keep taking the crayons out for LO and remembering how much I enjoy it
Hi everyone, the weather here is really nice right now. I am unfortunately a little too busy this week to enjoy it. I have a major event to prep for that is later in the week. I hope this nice weather holds up until that is over.
QOTD: Well, I guess I can enjoy playing boardgames. Actually, I do like childish toys and games in moderation and I know some adult friends who like to play with them in group settings sometimes. A few weeks ago, I was playing Scattergories with them at a beach house. It was fun. I wouldn't do that everyday but sometimes? Sure.

I was meant to meet up with a friend for lunch but she wussed out on me. So I started getting my next paper organised, did two loads of laundry (hanging up and taking down dry stuff), ironing and started making whole wheat sourdough bread (which looks like it's going to be a heavy loaf).

Answering my own QOTD: I am a sucker for most kids toys. I will always stack a few legos if I happen past a pile. And I collect crayons, so I am always on the lookout for coloring books or pages. Bubbles are a sure way for me to loose a few minutes, as are sidewalk chalk and hopscotch boards. I really am jut a big little kid.
