This photo was last week the pool, he loves the water so we try to go swimming often. He's 9.5 months here. Daycare is still rough but he's been in a great mood other than at drop off. He's standing up but not quite walking just yet. He's so much fun to watch!
Someone tell me breastfeeding gets easier. I am so frustrated right now. I make plenty of milk, H is so so lazy and falls asleep right away. I already change his diaper and feed him only in that and try to keep him awake but he only gets between 5-10 minutes. Then I have to set him down, wait for him to realize he's still hungry and wake back up. It takes an hour for him to nurse 30 minutes. Uhg. Plus it's not like he has to work too hard for his food. Half the time he falls asleep with a mouthful of milk! Too sleepy to even swallow... The good news is he is back up to his birth weight and he grew half an inch so no more pumping and supplementing!
Ha Ha ha ha jennlin!ask and ye shall recieve, though some are from Facebook...I am only FB friends with a few of you!
mrslefty i love his little eyebrows and baby yawns...too cute!
and yes, bf gets much much easier. both my babies were lazy nursers.. i just made sure to wake them up while they were still at breast. rubbing their faces, blowing on the face, taking toe nibbles... just bother them! i would also change their diaper between left/right to wake them up more.
Sent out evites for E's first birthday, which is just over a month away. I can't believe it! He clearly said dada, referring to H, this week and he's been cruising all over the house w/ a walker, like an old man. I imagine actual walking is not far away.
jennlin I usually have B put a hand on his back since his are usually cold and sometimes that doesn't even work. Nice to hear it gets better though. I'd like him to eat in a reasonable amount of time!
We have 4 teeth now. Still crawling but getting faster. He is feeling a lot better after being sick since last Tuesday and finally waking up without his eyes glued shut from goop. Still has a cough though. He will be 11 months old next weekend.
Picture is from yesterday, taking a nap on the floor with butt up in the air.

I love when E sleeps w/ his butt in the air. It melts me, so cute!
#1 i chose this picture bc i'm really proud of how bjl eats! she eats veggies no prob, seafood, mushrooms, meat, noodles... compared with some of the toddlers i know, who only eat mac and cheese, pb&j, etc.. i love that she isn't picky. bjl comes up with her own multiword sentences..she's very bilingual now--if she says something in english, we ask her to repeat it in chinese, and she will. she also seems to be doing good with switching languages with who she's talking to...english for our friends, chinese for family. we had a 3rd dentist appt yesterday, and she still didn't like it...but she retained a lot of stuff. the hygienist had a zebra toothbrush, and she used it to tickle me, and tried to tickle bjl with it, too..but she didn't want anything to do with it. when we left, she was saying "doctor used zebra to tickle mommy's hand". hopefully the next visit will be better..but doc said maybe not next time, but the time after should be better.
#2 boy loooves looking in the mirror, so here's a post-bath selfie. he does so good on his own these days, we're getting lots more done. he is toying with the idea of cruising..takes about 2 baby steps and gives up. his skin had been clearing up very well, and i decided to test his intolerances, and i reintroduced egg. not a good idea. his whole body is scaly and dry again. so...no egg still. when it clears up, i will try milk...i know soys still out because i had a bit a few weeks ago that didn't end well.
I just had J's 6month apt today and she is doing well. She's very long and not as chubby as I thought since the Dr says he wishes she was a little heavier. She is about 16lb even. Still no teeth though but she is starting to do more and more which M is getting excited about. M is just in the throws of 3. We have good and bad days but i'm working on how I respond to her so we are both learning. My pictures might be repeats for those on instagram but one is from a couple weekends ago we went on the steam engine in Elbe. The other is of J taking her first outside nap from this last weekend when it was really nice out.

I think BKB is getting into potty training! I don't want to jinx it. She's actually telling us if she is poopy and if she is pooping. This is instead of us seeing it and asking her. This morning she asked to go pee on the potty. First time in forever and it's the first time she's ever asked instead of us asking her. Fingers crossed! Maybe daycare is helping. She also just went through a huge developmental leap so that could be too. Her voice changed she sounds like a real little kid now. My baby is growing up.

This was on Instagram, so I'm not counting that as Facebook (even though I'm friends with more of you on IG than FB!)
I seriously can't believe we're less than 6 weeks away. We have a pool going at my office (that pic was posted on FB) for her birthday. I should start a second pool to see who people think she's going to look like: Me, Dan, or alleged baby-daddy Vernon Davis.
I feel like I haven't participated in a while...maybe I need the questions back? This free-form stuff just confuses me
Anyway, we were in Boston 2 weeks ago, then my parents came for a week to visit. They just left today -- I'm going to miss them and I'm sure G will miss her Grandma and Granddaddy too. Here's a pic of G from our Boston trip:
She's now been at her new daycare (with Blb) for just over a week and for the first time this morning she didn't cry at drop-off! She ran right to one of her teachers, then got started on an activity, said goodbye to DH, and went right back to happily playing. I'm sooooo happy and relieved! I'm 33.5 weeks along, only 45 days left until my due date!
