Happy Thursday (26 June - holy cow, it's almost JULY)

Hi everyone! What's on today? Anything fun or just work?

I am going to the gym to lift (yay, muscles), then to the British Library to do some final research for a paper, followed by a counselling appointment, then the US-Germany football match and finally, if it's not raining, BBQ chicken outside (if it is raining, then inside).

QOTD: What's your favourite rainy day activity?

Mine is reading novels on my Kindle.

Morning!! Yay for Thursday!! Weekend is here!

Today is work, then we'll see about tonight. I've been invited out for a friend's birthday, but it's been a long busy week and I kind of want to chill on the couch :-P Plus, we're doing brunch tomorrow (the last one before Ramadan) so I want to save up for that ;-)

QOTD: Well since we rarely get rain here, I usually enjoy going outside and hanging out in the rain! It never lasts very long so I like to enjoy it! Otherwise, I like to watch a movie with some hot chocolate on the couch in my pjs :-)

Good evening. I just slid a tray of sour cream biscuits (US biscuits not English ones) into the oven for tonight's dinner. I'm having a rice soup to go with them. It's an odd pairing, I have 3 cups of sour cream to use so I substituted the potato breadsticks that the recipe pairs with the soup for the biscuits. Other than that, it was an average Thursday around here.

QOTD: It's been raining for a week here, a cold, grey, winter rain with fierce winds. I've been enjoying staying in and reading, which is what I usually do on wet wintery days. In the summer I'm more likely to be embroidering than reading, because even rainy summer days are usually light and bright enough to do needlework and I prefer to do needlework with natural light.

Hi! I'm feeling really drained after an hour with pt at the gym (second time this week, woohoo) and lunch. Ready for a nap now!

We've booked a table at this really great restaurant tonight so I need to get my energy up for then

QOTD: reading (on my kindle mostly nowadays) and cosying up on the couch with H watching movies. It hasn't rained in weeks and weeks so I guess we're due a couple of those days...

Good evening! I spent the day with LO and one of H's old aunts (great aunt). It was alright. Now I've got the USA vs Germany game on pause waiting for H to get back home so we can watch it together.

Evening. Up late last night and then up early this morning (not by choice) so I've had a grumpy day.

We're looking for a new home, either to rent or buy, and not having much luck. The real estate market here and the agents are nothing like what we're used to. One of them was shocked I had looked up other homes in the area and was referencing recent sales. Owners here just get to pick a number and list at that - no advice from the agent/realtor on what the house is actually worth in the current market. So frustrating.
