Kiawah Island

We just got our tickets and reservations for the PGA Tour but I am not a big fan of golf so standing around trying to watch some little white ball fly through the air doesn't excite me in the least.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a slip away now and then? I already have my eye on the Spa. What else is there?

My family had a home on Kiawah when I was younger. We spent a lot of time shopping at Kiawah Town Center, which had just been built but I believe was expanded in recent years. We also loved to just bike around the island, there's so much to see.

I will say that I'm not a big fan of golf either but the tournaments I've been to with DH have been a blast. There's something about seeing it in person that makes it more interesting. Of course it could have been the large amount of beer I inhaled.

We love Kiawah! Been vacationing there for the past four summers. You can rent a car and go into charleston one day, only about a 45 min drive. Or rent a bike and ride around the island or to Fresh Fields where there are cute shops and restaurants. The spa is amazing so you'll love that! The resort is absolutely gorgeous. Have a great time!
