do it!! DH and I have a Genuine Buddy 150 and we drive it EVERYWHERE. to the movies, to church, to the grocery store, etc.
We actually love it so much that we are going to upgrade to a Vespa 300 so we can drive it on the highway. We live in suburban Dallas btw and it's so much fun having a scooter.
mp Well we actually just went to the Vespa store so I feel like I know a lot lol
I LOVE my Buddy, absolutely love. Genuine is a Taiwanese company so they make great scooters, much better than Chinese made scooters, not quite as fancy as Italian made scooters.
Buddies are plastic body so they way about 250 pounds vs Vespa while is a metal frame and about 320 lbs. The weight difference isn't huge, but sometimes if it is really windy I feel like I get blown around a bit on my Buddy.
As far as the plastic vs metal thing goes, the lady at the Vespa store made a good point in saying that heaven forbid should you crash, the plastic Buddy parts are WAY cheaper to replace than the metal Vespa ones.
My former neighbor had a teal and purple one with a sidecar that she strapped her rat terriers into, with their doggles on, of course. It was the cutest thing ever.
mp I am getting a three wheel scooter that's street legal in CA because we're going to be a one car family. Wanna form a ML Scooter Gang with me and jigsy?
Ooh what are ya getting?
berbles the idea of Stinky in dog goggles practically makes a sidecar an eventual requirement.
