Root touch up

Does anyone have any recs for a root touch up product for covering gray hair? The gray I have is mostly in the front, with some sprinkled through my part. I had heard about the mascara wand type products, but went into Sephora today, and all they had was an aerosol type one. Thanks!

v, I used this and it was great but I probably only needed about half of the total amount.  Can I just mix half and save the other half for later?

YES!  The tube and bottle close up nicely and you can use the other half later.  Makes it VERY MM.

YES!  The tube and bottle close up nicely and you can use the other half later.  Makes it VERY MM.

Like how much later? I thought this lost potency after awhile.

Two-three months later?  I've never noticed a lack of potency on the remainder.  I don't mix the extra stuff until it will be used though.

I use Rita Hazan and Style Edit - both are sprays. I also use mascara sometimes in a pinch (I have dark hair, so it works).

I use the Loreal Root Rescue (it mixes in a tube w/a brush attached) and I really like it!!
