$90 a month, comes every weekend grass is mowed every week trimming bushes - he usually does a part of them each time he comes. fertilizer - once in a while. weeding - occasionally will spray weed killer. If something specific is pointed out, he will deal with it
my yard isn't kept up as well as I would like it to be, but I have a huge yard . Also I'm surprised at some of the things he will do at my request (trimming large trees, bush removal)
We pay 22$ a week for mowing and 30$ for an application of fertilizer a few times per season. If we need shrubs and trees trimmed or pulled out that's separate and runs 100-200$ depending on how much work there is.
We pay $40/week for an acre. It only includes mowing. We usually add another $900/year or so in other services (tree and shrub pruning, weeding, etc.)
They come on an as-needed basis, so it's weekly in the warmer, rainier months and then we might skip a month or two in the winter. It just depends on the weather.
We have three yards on a service. One, the house we live in, is $180 a month, and includes chemical treatment/fertilizer (like Chemlawn), shrubs, edging, and weeding, but not extras like pine straw. The other two are $140 and include weeding, mowing, and shrubs, but not the Chemical/fertilizer service. They come year round. All yards are 150'x50'. They come weekly in the summer and bi-weekly in the winter, generally. I feel like it is stupid expensive, but we can't keep up with it, and the tenants were not cutting it. A lot of them had never used a mower in their lives.
We tried doing it ourselves, but then were spending $1,000 a year to have people come do a big clean up a few times a year, and having to resod when the grass was overtaken by weeks, so it wasn't that much more to get the service.
Ours is just $20 per visit, every other week, they just mow, trim with the weed whacker, and blow the clippings around so they compost in place. Usually every other week, occasionally more as needed. We're fine with it for now because we didn't want to run out and buy a mower right away, and this is the service the previous owner used. My dad is giving us a mower, though, so we'll cancel after this year.
1. How much do you pay per month or visit for lawn or yard services? We pay $80 per month and they do our front yard, about 3000 sq ft.
2. What all does that include? Do they pull out noticeably large weeds (like dandelions) from the grass? They edge, mow, trim all of the bushes/smaller trees, blow down the entry way/driveway, seed and fertilize twice per year.
3. How often do they come? Every Tuesday and they're here about 45 minutes (3 guys)
3. If you are charged an hourly rate for anything, what is is? We pay additionally for them to trim the tall palm trees once per year.
We rent, and the LL pays for "mow and blow" service and we pay for overall yard cleanup a couple times a year (our choice). Pretty large corner lot, grass in front and back.
1. How much do you pay per month or visit for lawn or yard services? LL pays $15/week for them to come and literally just mow the lawn. Then DH and I pay $120 every 4 months or so.
2. What all does that include? Do they pull out noticeably large weeds (like dandelions) from the grass? When we pay the $120, the pull the weeds, trim tress and bushes, and pull out anything dead.
3. How often do they come? weekly for the mow, every 4ish months for the big job.
3. If you are charged an hourly rate for anything, what is is? N/A
1. How much do you pay per month or visit for lawn or yard services? $75 per month
2. What all does that include? Do they pull out noticeably large weeds (like dandelions) from the grass? It's the most "full service" lawn company I can find. They mow, edge, weed, and trim bushes but not trees.
3. How often do they come? 1x per week
3. If you are charged an hourly rate for anything, what is is? N/A
I am thinking about dropping our service because of the cost and how little I feel it includes, but I'm not sure if my expectations are just too high.

Pull weeds, yank down palm fronds, trim landscaping and cut grass. Oh, and pull down coconuts and avocados for us (our trees are tall). We have a heavily landscaped backyard and our lot is almost 1/2 an acre.
3. How often do they come?
Every 15 days.

We felt the same way so we got additional quotes which wound up being higher. I'm glad we checked, though.
Thanks everybody! This is helpful, I think we pay on the high end if normal and don't have weeding included. Now to decide if H is willing to take on the job himself...
