I'm in a city of almost a million people, you would think that jobs would pay more.
There's an ad for a speech pathologist...that pays $39k.
One for a financial analyst that pays $12.50/hr. ($26k)
Kindergarten teacher...$14/hr.
Medical office manager...$9-12/hr.
Fiscal Support Analyst... (WTF is that?) $11.75/hr.
It's no wonder I can't find a job making more money. What I'm being paid $15.50 an hour for pays $10-12 an hour at other companies. Unfortunately, it's barely enough to make ends meet and keep me out of debt, and it's not going to be long before I end up in jail for killing my boss.
I need a new career. For the brave, tell me what you do and what you make!

I work for a loan servicing company verifying foreclosure documents. I make $36k a year plus OT (which is always available) and bonuses. You should come move to Florida

Well, the biggest reason is that I have a house that I'm underwater on. Had I not had the house, I would have moved to Texas by now, as that's my first choice.
But I also am really happy in a relationship for the first time in 4 years, and moving isn't an option for him because of his kids, so as long as we're happy and making it work, I'm not going anywhere.

Ahhh! Gotcha. Well I guess the only thing I can suggest is just keep looking. By some of your posts, I can tell you're not happy at your job, but at least it's paying the bills until you find something better. Don't give up, you'll find something.
