I have to get out of the house because they're doing work and it's too hot to be outside. Is it a movie that's appropriate for an almost 4-year-old? And is it terrible to bring a five monh old and sit in the back and nurse her if she gets restless? I am desperate!
I just need something to entertain her for a couple hours. We have no working toilets or showers at home which means I am a mess and there is new carpet being installed meaning all the floors are ripped up and the air is filled with dust and god knows what else. It's 100whtever outside so we can't be out. I just need somewhere to be for a while.
She doesn't get scared too easily so as long as its not too intense she should be fine. Thanks!!!
Agree that some of the bear scenes are scary. Ben actually asked to leave near the end, but since it's a Disney movie and the good guy always wins, I just hugged him and delayed a few minutes until the big bear fight scene was over.
My son will be 5 next month and was really scared by it. He has come into our room with nightmares every night since we saw it last week. He is generally not that easily scared (he does fine with all the Star Wars movies, for example, which I think are far scarier).

My son is a scardey cat and I am not taking him. THere was a thread on my moms' group about it and the general feeling there by people who saw it with kids from 3+ was that it's best for 6 yo plus. The ones whe brought younger kids said they wish they hadn't.
If you're on the fence, Madagascar 3 might be a good option. I took my scared little boys and they both loved it. It's very funny and entertaining.

We took our two boys - one will be 6 in Sept. and the other will be 4 in Sept. Both loved it and our youngest kept talking about the "pretty red-haired girl."

My kids (5.5 and 2.5) were scared during the bear fighting scenes, but have not had long-term effects. Mostly what they talk about are the funny little brothers.
I don't think she liked it much though because after seeing the Lorax (which was atrocious), she talked about that damn movie for a month. She couldn't even tell me what Brave was about.
This is my kid as well. So not interested in Merida, unless she's slapped on the front of a reusable Subway bag.
I'm waiting until we go on our cruise in September b/c they'll be showing the movie on the ship. I'm hoping DD (who will be about 2,75 at the time) will sit through it. I'm more worried about her getting restless than scared.
