I know it's been a long time and I've missed you.
Update on me:
Not much except I was laid off on Thur. never to return. I'm not upset about it as I have wanted out for years but I had it to good to go (32hr work week and really good salary). What I am pissed about is our Costa Rica trip next year is now off. We will be going somewhere just on a much lower budget. Isn't that funny that through all this all I'm upset about is not being able to go to CR
I am however lmao as they kinda shot themselves in their foot. My co worker who will now be taking over hasn't clue one except for payroll and receivables how to do my job. Right after I left they had my computer wiped. Now, all of my links to work stuff as well as user names and passwords were stored right on Chrome. HAHAHA...I don't even know what they were so it's not like they can call me and I can tell them how to get into stuff. Hmm.. not my problem.
Anyway, all is good and I am looking forward to starting over in a job that I will at least like.

Welcome back!
I was laid off in January from a company that I had grown a passion for, but hated my job. I was somewhat relieved that it was over, but upset that things went down the way they did. [Now] H was also laid off and felt the same way you do about them being lost without you and other people not being able to take up the slack.
You sound pretty positive about the whole situation! Good luck with the job search!

Sorry to hear about the job loss and not going on vacation. What a bummer... I know you were excited about Costa Rica.
I've been unemployed for a long time now and haven't been able to find a job. I hope you have better luck! One good thing about it though is I've had time to focus on other things and getting together with friends and family. I've totally been taking advantage of the free time while I can, lol.

Yeah, real bummer about CR. I had just booked the airfare the night before I was laid off. I was able to cancel it with no penelty though. It's ok, we will go a different time. There are plenty of trips I'm seeing on Groupon in our price range so all is good. We at least have KW coming up next month.
I hope to not have to collect unemployment for long. One good thing is since I was only technically working part time I can for a PT job and we will be ok. I'm also looking into temp work. I like the appeal of a different place and different duties every few months as I tend to get bored easily. So, FT is in, PT is in and Temp is in. That opens up a lot.

Aw, man... that sucks about the timing with booking the airfare, but that's good there was no penalty for canceling. I love hearing about people's vacations so I'm interested to see where else you go, even if it's not as far. Some of the Groupons I've seen look like good deals. Last year my H and I were tighter on money and saving up for Europe so we did short day trips and outdoor activities in nearby places, which was actually pretty fun too.
