Wet dog food-open can storage

Sry, I'm not normally on this category but thought asking this board is the best place.

my dog stopped eating her dry food-same food for yrs

I mixed dry with wet and she'll eat it. Question, if I'm only using a Tablespoon to mix do I refrigerate the remaining can  or leave at room temp?

 On a related note, I'm a certified pet nutritionist but allowed my cert to expire over the past 5 yrs. most questions i know the answers. if you have any ask. gut is suggesting, refrigerate and store in plastic, Glad container to avoid botulism.

I refridgerate what I don't use of wet food. I have a plastic cover that is made for canned food to keep it sealed in the fridge. It keeps it from drying out or going bad.

Thx for reminding me. I found the can savers in my pantry.

Definitely fridge it. We also use the plastic lids that fit right over the can.

We store ours in the fridge, but I think it says to use within 3 days of opening.

If you are only feeding a tablespoon you may want to look at dehydrated options.
