I've read many times that the first number is meaningless, it's the doubling that counts. I've also heard that doctors want to see the first one at 50 and over. Praying for you. Have a nice party and if she doesn't call you tonight call her back.
I just went through the same thing. My first beta was only 24, and given my LMP, it was pretty low. But I ovulated late. I was at 52 and then 144 on my next two. Of course, it's still early days, but I totally understand the stress. Sometimes I think we know TOO much with all these early tests. Sending you good thoughts for a healthy baby. Easier said than done, but I wouldn't worry until you get your second test.

Do you know about www.betabase.info/? This might help ease your mind seeing low numbers with successful pregnancies. Are you having the draw done at a hospital or where it will be run stat?

ditto everyone else- first beta doesn't mean much unless you absolutly know the day you O'd and it's super low for the day you should be at... your beta isn't even super low (I had one that was 13 and should have been much higher... that was bad).
prayers for you and your next beta. Those early days/weeks are SOOO hard to wait.
My doc always called me the day that I had the beta done- but since this is an OB and not an RE, and it's the weekend - not sure.

Sending you good thoughts. My first draw came back at 24 and I started spotting several days later. My "24" is now napping in his crib, so like you already know, it's really all about the doubling. Big hugs and I hope your OB calls you back tonight with the results.

If your LMP was later than you thought then you're not as far along. (And remember you didn't necessarily O on day 14 like the LMP will calculate.) A few days difference can definitely explain lower betas.
Try not to worry, I think you'll get great news on Monday.

Being a person that overanalyzes things like it's my job, I'd say that would make me feel much better if I were you. I really hope that your number on Monday is a good one!
