I haven't been to the doctor yet, so sorry if this is a silly question.
The pregnancy book says absolutely no undercooked meat and that beef should be cooked to well-done, but it is also kind of alarmist about a lot of things.
I see conflicting answers online (and some of them are from websites where the users can't spell, so...)
We're going out for dinner for our anniversary. I really don't like steak cooked more than medium, but if I'm not supposed to eat it that way, I'll just find something else to order.
The only beef I'd worry about at all is ground. Because the contamination is going to get on the outside of the steak, which no matter what temp you cook it to, is seared and kills the bad stuff. With ground though, the contamination could have been mixed in during grinding, patty making, etc so it needs to be cooked more thoroughly.
