@awinter ((hugs)) to you, I'm so sorry. It's okay to switch to formula, it really is. You have done SO MUCH to give these girls breast milk, honestly no one could have done more than you have. But there's a limit to what you can physically and psychologically do, and I think you've reached it. Formula is okay.
DS got stung 3 times by a yellow jacket at a play date today. He is fine but it was a little nerve wracking waiting to see of he would have a reaction.
I caught DDs cold (that the cousins gave us last week)so I am staying home this weekend instead of going to OK City to visit my friend and her twins. I don't want to share the germs.
I went to nordstrom this morning to check out the sale and bought an $85 pair of jeans, yikes. I also got this sweater for DD and it is freaking adorable.
kermit I'm sorry your DD was upset last night It was really good to see you though and catch up and you look awesome for just having a baby last week!!

I just went a little crazy at the HA $10 sale. Anyone know if it's in-store too?
My friend is due in December with a little girl and I got her matching PJs and a sleepsack. She will either love me or hate me for introducing her to the HA cult
Instead of having the cable company come out and fix our fried cable box, I told them that I'd just disconnect the box and switch it out myself since I NEED cable to work when I'm leaving my kids with friends for a week starting Tuesday. No time for waiting around for the cable company to get around to it.
So I did that earlier and when I got home, I just started plugging the four wires into random spots figuring that I'd eventually hit on the right combo and the tv would magically work. (Note, I'm not the tech one in our household AT ALL, obviously;)) I ended up effing up the router and everything, I have no idea but all the sudden nothing would work. I had to call DH in Germany to walk me through what to plug in where since I couldn't even look how to do it up online.
At least he knows he's missed lol. I'm good at many things but electronics is not one of them.
my best friend invited us to share her ILs timeshare in Branson for a weekend this fall, I have already texted my sister to see if she can watch DD so we can have an adults only weekend. As lame as Branson may be (to some people, not ME!) I think it will be a lot of fun. The longest we've been away from DD is 1 night, hopefully dh can be tough and endure 2 nights away.

Oh I know, and we have considered this a few times. But, unfortunately this isn't a great option either. We don't think the girls could handle even hypoallergenic formula without similar side effects and it would likely cause other issues for them. They contain soy oils which most soy allergic people can handle but it appears the girls cannot.
We were able to get an appointment with a different pediatric allergist for September 2nd so at least that is earlier than the 23rd.
In the mean time I'm just going to eat my weight in sorbet and Popsicles lol

I had a non stress test and everything was good, so I go back on Tuesday if the baby hasn't been born yet. Next step is stripping membranes, which I found out is pretty equivalent to having sex.

A friend had a death in her family last night that was very sad. It hit a little too close to home for me, and I've been sad today because of all the feelings it has drudged up. My dad's wife's birthday is today, so I put minimal effort into finding the least effusive ecard possible. I don't actually care at all, just trying to stay out of trouble. DS is refusing to nap. Grrrr.
