How many hours is you kid awake in the morning before you put them down for a nap? Anywhere from 3-5 hours usually. He gets up between 730a-9a most days, and goes down for nap between 1230 and 1p. To use today as an example, he got up around 9 and went down at 1230.
Do you feed lunch before or after? How many hours do you have between breakfast and lunch? Before. Usually about 4 hours in between, with some sort of a snack thrown in there.
How many hours between waking up from the nap and going to bed? Anywhere from 3-5 hours depending on when he goes down, when he gets up, and whatever else we have going on. Most of the time I don't let him go later than 4p unless he went down late. For example, yesterday he didn't go down until 230p thanks to our zoo trip so we let him nap until 5pm. He went to bed at 8pm instead of closer to 730p like usual.
If he gets up between 7-8am, then naps between 12-2pm, then bedtime can be between 7-8pm or do I have to make it earlier? I don't want him waking up earlier but 6 hours between waking from his nap and going to bed seems like a long time since he's only 11 months. He's been going to bed between 7:30-8:30 recently and I really like it because we have more time to get dinner ready and hang out in the evening. If he's not an overtired hot mess I say go with it. I've found as long as I keep AJ busy, he can go 5-6 hours sometimes without a huge issue. He might push up bedtime on his own, he might not.
James has caught me off guard and is apparently ready to make this transition already. I don't mind but I'm wondering about logistics.

I know this will all become clear as we settle into our new schedule but I'm curious about what others' schedules look like.
It will probably take a few weeks for him to adjust to being up longer, but he will get there. When ds transitioned there were somedays where bedtime was early. Like 6 pm snoozing in the crib. Nap in the beginning started early, like 11 or11:30 and i slowly pushed it later over two or three weeks.
A typical day for ds now who is 21 months is
wake 6:30/7 breakfast maybe a snack around 10 lunch at noon nap around 12:30 or 1 he sleeps for 2-2.5 hours awake around 3 or3:30, snack dinner at 5:30 bed at 7:15, asleep by 7:45 or so
