Hi! I need done help with recs in the Carribean. I haven't spent much time there. We are looking to go away for my husband's 35th and invite his family to join us. We will have a 2 year old and five month old. Resort foes not need to provide childcare, but be family friendly. These are our must haves:
- direct flight from NYC area - family friendly resort, and AI would be ideal - somewhat budget friendly
Not DR, as we were just there. It's the only island I've been to.

We loved grand cayman and Jamaica. We have a time share, so we traded in to grand cayman. We stayed at beaches negril in Jamaica and loved it (BFF's wedding). It was very family friendly. I may be mistaken, but I have always had to layover in nc or fl when going to the Caribbean (but I fly from sfo so take it or leave it!)
I didn't stay at an AI, but loved Barbados. The flight from NYC was easy and the beaches were beautiful. The Bahamas is also an easy flight from the area.
